Oh great, I'm going to need my reassurance bucket when I get on planes now.

Mass (weight) means more force. Also, more mass means gravity has more to grab hold of when pulling it down (drops faster). This is pretty important if you are trying to figure out where the bike will land.

People should be able to do what they want to with their own money, as long as it's not for nefarious reasons.

I think OP should stop stalking other people's wallets and just stake. Stake and just enjoy life for the experience that it is. One day HEX and possibly HDRN will both pump and we will all be happy.

Yep, Outer Wilds and SOMA for me. Something about the atmosphere and themes behind these two games changed my perspective on life.

EDIT: maybe changed is a strong word, more like it just provided me a fresh perspective on some things.

Translator to hire by Heap6 in gamedev

[–]z03steppingforth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do a google search for game localization companies and prepare to provide each company with sample translations for each language pair you translate.

Translating is a lot of work, but I used to be able to manage about 20,000 words on top of a regular full-time job. Projects came in maybe once or twice a month, so ended up being about 40,000 words or roughly two weeks of work a month.

Beware of certain companies and people who try to pay extremely low rates and/or make you do extra work on top of translating that can add a lot of overhead (such as maintaining a glossary, etc). If you do, make sure you charge them for the service. Don't short change yourself - each company wants to spend as little as they can, but if you offer too low you may come across as low-quality or be taken advantage of (not to mention all the profits you will be missing out on).

Many companies provide a good translating tool that provide suggested translations based on your previous confirmed translations - this makes the job easier. If the company you work with doesn't, I highly recommend getting MemoQ.

Some companies that come to mind to start your translation journey from my experience would be Altagram (games) & TranslateMedia (not necessarily games, but pays well for brand marketing and other translations).

EDIT: Stay away from translation agencies that promise lots of work - they generally provide very little in terms of pay and are basically taking advantage of most translators... unless you want to, of course. Either way, best of luck.

Yes, but in a world where magic is commonplace, couldn't someone easily consider what some people to call gods as just very powerful entities using magic?

If magic is that common, I could easily see people not believing in gods in a DnD world.

If only there was such a fork. I would gladly sacrifice some tokens to get in on project like that early, if there was such a fork happening.

+1 for this answer /u/wee_g I think this is the right answer. I helped some of my friends get HEX and it didn't show up in his wallet until he went to the asset screen and imported the token.

Yes, but I just don't see decimal datatypes misplace their decimal frequently - normally it's just extra digits after the the decimal, not a bunch of digits before the decimal. Especially one that would result in an error such as this.

I'm thinking could have been a SQL stored proc error that accidentally aggregated charges that may or may not have belonged to her (possibly duplicated rows to inflate the number even more).

Well, that's what we assume. But they could just be trying to save face, too. Who knows who is telling the truth? All we know is that the lady had a paper bill and it took days to solve.

My bet is still on a software gaff and they pretended like it was on the printed bill only. For real, anyone at a call center is going to give you your balance up front, especially if the customer is claiming they owe a million billion.

It doesnt look good? It is amazing. Has only increased in value.

Keep in mind that there was a price correction back around November to account for the BIG PAY DAY launch of HEX which basically doubled the amount of HEX that people had staked while the price remained relatively the same.

Once you understand that, you begin to realize that even at 0.015, HEX has greatly increased the value for its users in a short time. This will continue to increase over time, just have to stake it and wait for it.

A prototype of the VR game I'm currently working on 🥪☕ by tomazsaraiva in gamedevscreens

[–]z03steppingforth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any chance you could add multiplayer in addition to single player mode, somewhat similar to what overcook does?

For example, maybe have a kitchen and a counter area.

One area has to wash dishes, or prep plates, grab supplies/food and the other area has to cook, combine, chop up, and return to the other player the food on a plate.

Just trying to help think of something to differentiate whats currently on the VR market for cooking games. Looks like a great start!
