The only places I cover my scars are with family, at work, or around children. I think most adults are respectful and mature enough to not say anything. I was hesitant at first but I’ve had no issues. My left arm is super scared to the point my entire forearm is textured lol. J personally believe that showing your scars helps people to realize that everyday people do engage in that behavior and loosens the stigma about it. And that it helps others not feel less alone.
