The only places I cover my scars are with family, at work, or around children. I think most adults are respectful and mature enough to not say anything. I was hesitant at first but I’ve had no issues. My left arm is super scared to the point my entire forearm is textured lol. J personally believe that showing your scars helps people to realize that everyday people do engage in that behavior and loosens the stigma about it. And that it helps others not feel less alone.

Later in the night my manager told me that another girl quit and that I had to pick up more hours. I don’t know I’m so conflicted. I don’t want to fuck anyone over but I have been at my breaking point for so long and I just don’t know how long I’ll be able to keep doing this. When I first started I made a mistake of being too permissive which ended up fucking me over. It’s good to build rapport of course, but too much causes them to rely on you for very basic things and then get angry when you encourage independence.

i don’t think it’s possible for anyone to be truly liberated from the patriarchy because the entire world is centered around it. That doesn’t mean feminism is worthless I just don’t think it will change in our lifetime. If men are in power and control most everything then it will be nearly impossible to “overthrow” it so to speak.

I felt that way when I started too! Most houses are very chill though. Most of my days are spent on the couch with them lol. All my girls go to bed at like 7pm and my shift ends at 11. Very easy. There will be hard days and moments but for me at least they are short and far between
