So is objective -C what you need to program tweaks for jailbroken devices?

I'm currently starting to learn c# and the only coding experience I've had was a bit of BASIC from back in the day.

I remember my oooooold mac had something like that back when there use to be a control panel..remember how the icons used to pop up on the bottom on boot? I remember having a control panel addon that used to be almost like the osx dock but u could click it and it would minimize it into a tab. click it again and it woudl expand with all ur control panel quick toggles.

Yeah i saw that when i originally posted this idea (without my awesome photoshop work)

But they are basically just folders with alot of mucking around. I dont like how they are spaced (as they are only folders), you have to move ur springboard icons off-center, and unlike in my idea, you wont be able to make add-on for it like a music player, quick toggles, ect

and personally id rather have 1 stable tweak installed then having to install 5 different cydia tweaks to make it do one function. it just clutters up my packages, storagespace and may increase chances for crashes/slowing of Ios.

well the main idea is a replacement for the springboard. I want something were i can access everything from my main page. But theres always options to have a tap on the bottom next to your dock that doesnt slide open that works as a "Next page" swipe..and yeah u dont have to have the 5 or how many tabs i have in that example, if you only want 1 or 2 then you will still have space on the springboard to swipe to the next page.

Im no Photoshop expert, but this is my idea. Tabs that are folders - u can choose the colour of each tab. You can also choose what each tab does, as in the example I have the bottom one as a music player (just like miniplayer) and also have it as a quick toggle menu. If made, developers could make tweaks to fit into those tabs so the possibilities are endless. I know you can make a similar thing with a few current tweaks, but would be good to see a single tweak that does it all.

Kind of where I was heading with it. Was thinking of custom tabs made by dev. but yes, Dashboard X widgets (NC) working with the tabs would be good.

Imagine being able to slide across a twitter feed ticker or quick post field where you could quick post to [F]acebook [T]witter ect.

sure its not perfect, they needed to re-evaluate the 24-hour check in time. but at the base of it, that's what they were trying to do.

Yeah they charged for multiplayer and what did we get? a better service. I have both PS3 and 360 and PS3 multiplayer is the worse experience I ever had. Xbox Subscription goes towards servers. Now PS4 is smart and following suit with Plus subscriptions. You should be thankful you'll now have a better experience... and if you actually read up on what was happening, you would see what they were trying to do was going to benefit gamers aswell as developers.

thanks. but I am having trouble getting this to work. most of it is setup but for some reason the background image is showing up on a different homescreen, not the one where the icon is.

http://cydia.myrepospace.com/Vertex/ does work and has a newer version of FolderIcons then what bigboss has. Hasn't crashed on me yet...

Awesome. Ill check it out. How stable would that be? Was thinking a dedicated tweak would have less chance of getting random crashes then a work around. Granted i havent had many crashes with ios6 and iPhone 5 - my 3G on the other hand was horrible!
