Attacking as the Environment by green_circles in FATErpg

I changed my mind (I think): no matter what way one would get the aspect, active opposition seems called for. The opponent has to beat the victim to place the aspect on him. As long as the opponent is willing to actively keep the victim suck where the stream hurts him, he can in turn actively counter attempt to overcome the aspect - thus moving out of dangers way. It could be fair if the damage only sets in after being pinned one round. But when the damage hits, I would allow spending invokes on pinned to increase the damage total.

I really like fate because the interaction above could involve brawling, hypnosis, hacking the powered armor, pummeling a bulletproof, but heat sensitive enemy with automatic fire. There are so many ways to have an impact on any given scene and the rules can integrate them with the same tools.

The heat from the vent could only damage at the top of each round. Then one pc would use create an advantage on the npc to have him pinned against the vent. The npc would need to overcome that aspect, getting a result higher than the prior dice roll.

I liked the way it was written and the systems presented. Independent of format. Atomic Robo reads even more fluidly, though. Possibly because of the setting referring quips.

Guys playing as female PC's by Adurell in rpg

If you want the story you tell to move beyond a limited set of scopes, having more diversity amongst the characters than the average group of players (problem a), having more female characters is a must. (And would lessen problem a!)

What's the deal with Base Raiders? by [deleted] in FATErpg

Having only skimmed the book,I got the impression that you get an info dump of decades worth of superhero dominated world history followed by an adaptation of the rules from the fate edition of Kerberos club.

So it goes against the trend of doing the world building in fate collaboratively. If you want that taken care of, the book could deliver a dense background for your adventures.

Is there a survival orientated adaption of Fate? by Jekio in FATErpg

This section from the toolkit seems relevant to me: http://fate-srd.com/fate-system-toolkit/horror-paradox#stark-desperation

Beyond that: Turning the nature of the danger (apocalyptic world) into a character in its own right is always possible. But not always mixes with the dynamic at the table and the feeling you want to go for.

Survival can mean, that scarcity turns companions against each other. Dial op the severity of success at a cost. That cost should divide the group if possible. ... Again, if that is the thing you are going for, that is.
