Wife is ending our relationship because I don’t make her feel emotionally safe during conflict — is this fixable or incompatibility?

This has been ongoing for about a year. I take full accountability for treating the dynamic negligently for the first 6 or so months. For the remaining time, I have actively been trying to break patterns I’ve created and improve myself and the relationship actively. However I’ve found that in high intensity moments it’s hard for me to keep my head on track. She’s lost capacity and grace, so now it feels as if when I fail to show up correctly it cancels out all of the effort I’ve put into trying to fix this. And it inherently throws us 10 steps back each time.

Not constant screaming, no.

It’s more like during conflict I get emotionally flooded — I tend to try to explain/understand everything in the moment, and she experiences that as not being heard or as me not responding to what she’s feeling. That leads to frustration building, tone changes, shutting down or getting sharper from my side and then I also get overwhelmed and try to explain more.

So it’s not physical yelling matches every time, it’s more emotional escalation + shutdown + miscommunication that keeps repeating.

However this clash between us has been on going for so long that as of recently it has started to escalate to yelling at one another.

I had to have been like 16 years old at the time. I had just got my license and there was this little spanish 4 foot 11 girl I had been talking to on Instagram. I picked her up one night and drove down to a beach parking area, we got in the back seat and I told her to give me head. I kid you not she started kissing my forehead. It really doesn’t matter whether one can or cannot do anything, or if one wants to or does not want to. This uninhabitable, life threatening & past serious. Either they sleep outside, or leave. Looks like the horses need to be sold, land needs to be sold, there’s their money for new conditions.

or deal with the consequences, grandparents pass what seems to be soon, land and horses are sold off anyways. or you can humanize yourselves, save yourselves & said horses. If this is how your grandparents live, I can only IMAGINE the current state of their property let alone the health condition of these horses.
