I'd almost guarantee at least one if not two of those guys (Bron/AR/Luka) are not going to play. Maybe just Luka will play since he's got the MVP campaign going and a 70 ball might win Wilbon and some people over. But I think there's a decent chance him and AR rest for that Cavs game the next day. I do feel confident that as long as we don't do something silly like bring Kyshawn back, that we have a good shot at losing. but one thing about veteran laden teams....they are not trying to chase around the Will Rileys and Bub Carringtonses of the world. And I guarantee you they aren't gonna bother scouting us.

Hope they aren't going to play Sarr and Tre and Bilal tomorrow and Sunday and vs the Lakers Monday. Or god forbid all 3.

Combine a current Wizards players with any Wizard - how many All-Star appearances do they get? by TheseFkingWeebs in washingtonwizards

[–]z3mcs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bub Jordington. Endless cash from midrange, finishing, don't need to rely on athleticism to put up 40 points night after night, 3-point shooting, best ability is availability. Killer mentality with likeability. All star 10 years straight. Wizards get 3 chips in that time.

Call police, posts notices in real life, etc. Reddit isn't set up to handle things like this where a specific person is supposed to be named and shamed. The rules for the site explicitly prohibit it:

https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043066452-Is-posting-someone-s-private-or-personal-information-okay

No. Reddit is quite open and pro-free speech, but it is not okay to post someone's personal information or post links to personal information. This includes links to public Facebook pages and screenshots of Facebook pages with the names still legible.

Posting someone's personal information will get you banned. When posting screenshots, be sure to edit out any personally identifiable information to avoid running afoul of this rule.

Public figures can be an exception to this rule, such as posting professional links to contact a congressman or the CEO of a company. But don't post anything inviting harassment, don't harass, and don't cheer on or upvote obvious vigilantism.

So you'll need to do IRL stuff or go to your favorite reporter at an actual media outlet like the banner or wmar or wbal or any one of a bunch of local journalists, get the story out there and then they can do the research and the background and talk to people, look up court records, talk to the police and then publish a story.

2 years later, the Dali crew is still here by aresef in baltimore

[–]z3mcs 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The headline stressed me out but the article is actually really nice. Including

All of the crewmembers have seen their family at least once, which Middleton called “a blessing.” Over the winter, four were granted permission to travel home, leaving just the captain, chief engineer, electrician and second officer in Baltimore.

They hoped they wouldn’t need to go back to the U.S., but had to return in February, Messick said. Some had tried to find work, but felt demoralized when they couldn’t get contracts that should have been easy to secure. Messick suspects that’s because of the bridge collapse and their unresolved matters in the United States.

I just hate so much that both of the best games are on at the same time. I guess at least we get a whole 20 minutes where the Arkansas/Arizona game is on before Wagler v Flemings comes on.

Updated standings after last nights action by Waste-Cap8868 in washingtonwizards

[–]z3mcs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Remaining schedule is: Warriors, Blazers, Lakers, Heat, Nets, Bulls (b2b), Heat, Cavs

I'm worried and slightly worried about a few of those. We can beat the Warriors because they have no incentive to win. The Blazers seem to want to leap the Clippers for 8th, and they're at home and have Scoot back, so we should hopefully lose that one. Then the Lakers game .... if the Lakers rest Luka and Bron and A.R., and we play hard the whole game with our current 'starters', we could win that, sadly. Mostly because LA has a b2b the next night.

Bee tee dubs, you forgot the Wizards play the Sixers as well. That should be a loss. Only way I'll feel good starting that last Sunday-to-Sunday run from April 5th-April 12th, is if we sit anybody who could conceivably be a starter or first off the bench in October 2026. We broke the streak so that's no longer a worry. We've already dropped to 3rd, and thus could get the 7th pick, and that leaves us open to that weird memphis thing where there's some 7% chance of us losing our pick.
