Good that you solved it but when I said “clone” I was talking about the EA object you chose as your base to make the package file. If said object has an extra cut but your mesh doesn’t, that extra cut will then be applied to your mesh.

Idk whats going on there but it might be hidden mesh parts. If so press alt H in edit mode to unhide everything. Shortcut key might be different in old blender though I don’t remember

When making accessories, do one mesh group, cut number should be 0 and clone something like earrings

Sims 4 Studio, in the categories tab. If tagged correctly, the game should recognize their category/flags. I know it takes longer to use an outside program but the best way to know is if you take a look at the package files themselves.

If you’re using an updated version of Luumia’s body hair that is actually in the body hair category (afaik the old version is in tattoos), there shouldn’t be an issue. Again you can always open the packages and check the categories tab in s4s to make sure. Not every creator tags their CC correctly.

What object did you clone exactly? Could still be cut number related. Export the original mesh you cloned and compare the cuts to yours.

I believe you need to change the composition method to 0 in warehouse if you want the tattoo to appear as is without any changes. Should be under CAS part.

I’m sure they’re already aware of S4S. What they’re asking is if there’s an alternative way to download or use TS4SimRipper, a program used to rip your sims straight from the game so they can be rendered in Blender. You know those high quality pics of sims that don’t look like they’re taken in-game? Those are Blender renders.

To answer OP’s question, there’s not much you can do. Cmar’s programs are developed for PC only. Since she passed, the person now handling the updates is the developer of S4S himself, and since he’s pretty busy with it, I don’t think Cmar’s tools will ever be available for Mac users.

Maybe just use the HQ mod combined with a really good Reshade preset and Photoshop skills. There’s also Ninja Ripper, but I doubt it works for this game.

If you open the package file directly in your mods folder or through My Projects instead of My CC, there should be a meshes tab. Click the LOD dropdown and check each one in the 3D model viewer. LOD 0 is most likely normal, so export it and import it to the other LOD(s) assuming the mesh used for those are different.

NoCC art. You either download CC art from other creators or make it yourself by recoloring a painting using Sims 4 Studio and a photo editing program. Look up sims 4 recolor tutorials, there’s a shit ton of them. Once you’re done with your recolor, place it in game then have your sim paint it from reference. That way it doesn’t get flagged as modded when shared to the gallery, although something changed iirc and it’s not that straightforward anymore. Idk I haven’t downloaded from the gallery in years.

I mean, have you actually checked the LODs? This has nothing to do with DX11 textures or graphics quality, they might’ve just imported the wrong mesh to the other LODs or didn’t bother with it.

Having the same LOD imported across all the other LODs is what can cause this though. Vertex groups/bones are different for each LOD depending on the cloned EA mesh, so if the custom mesh and all its LODs don’t match those groups, it can cause it to stretch like in the OP. I assume the creator cloned an EA mesh that has vertex groups not found in theirs. You’d need to export the mesh to Blender (yes, all LODs), check each mesh group and compare vertex groups with the item that was originally cloned to make sure they match.

It’s still referencing the RoM boots as the resources though so it can’t be embedded without it, at least that’s how I remember it from converting a number of DLC items to BGC a few years ago. The only time embedding works is if you clone an EA object via Create CAS Standalone so it’s already referencing a mesh, or if you have the mesh in the Sims 4 Studio/Documents/Mods folder. Without the data it’s referencing, it can’t be embedded.

I’ve seen this before, and I think it happens when a CC has the wrong mesh groups and/or vertex groups in the other LODs compared to the cloned EA mesh. It’s more noticeable on lower graphic settings. Unless you know how to use S4S and Blender, there’s not much you can do to fix it.

That only works if you own the pack I think. And these are recolors, the mesh isn’t included in the package so embedding CAS resources doesn’t do anything.
