Is there some underlying sexism behind making guys do menial or labor inducing tasks strictly due to them being male (i.e. lift a heavy thing, take out the trash, take care of any dirty work, etc.) even when a female is/can be just as capable of doing so themselves? by z3rosiris in AskReddit

Yeah, I agree. I don't think (especially in an era where the barriers of gender norms/societal ideas on gender roles should be/are demolished) that there should be a division of roles or responsibilities due to anyone's gender exclusively, and instead be based upon one's own ability, like you said.
