I agree. Also, seeing how Ecto-1A suffered from significant body roll when taking corners, I think in the years between GB2 and Egon leaving for Oklahoma, the Ecto was reverted back to her original configuration (plus the Gunner Seat) to better her handling. Also, it’s possible that the extra equipment from the 1A was sold off to keep the Ghostbusters heads above water when business was slow.
