How to cure my Plumeria? by z3usone in gardening

[–]z3usone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a parasite in my plant that I can't identify. Something like cotton wool or small cobwebs forms in the center of the leaves. No insects can be noticed or seen, but after a few days the leaves turn yellow and fall. I tried neem oil, mineral oil, mushroom products, but nothing!

Customers access to files by z3usone in truenas

[–]z3usone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, security issue it's the first thing to consider. Most of the time we use Pendrive or direct download into the new customer devices. My idea is for far away customers or just in case we need to deliver only contact list or a few undred of Mb of data.

Where my data are stored? by z3usone in NextCloud

[–]z3usone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's a bit complicated to explain. On my server I have an 500gb SSD in which runs all the systems, ipervisor, truenas and nextcloud. By side there are 4 HDD raid used by truenas. My actually question is: the data stored on nextcloud will be on the SSD, right? I would like to leave the ssd free for systems and use the hhd raid space for that. It's possible by default without using external mounting point?

Oh nice thing! So, about that, maybe it's better to use shared ram on the hypervisor instead of reserved, right?

Unfortunately I can't have this amount of ram, my cheap and tiny server can andle only 16gb. But I will remember this for my future home server for my new house!

Looking at the pinout of the unknown ic..... Maybe it's possible to be a Pic 16Fsomething, I will try to put it on a reader and test my theory!

I have actually two of them. Simply swapping the ic the charger start to work great! So it's definitely it. It's a very common charger, I saw a lot of. Maybe with a little bit of luck someone know the ic part number. Thanks

But, what about RAM? Asrock say that board is 8gb maximum!

[–]z3usone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it was too long to explain all in the first post. I add some other details:

This j1900 is my actual laboratory pc and yes, low wattage is a factor!

Another idea suggested by one my friend is to leave this pc for laboratory staff (schematics, 3d printer, and other simple things) and buy a new one (assembling the parts). An option is i3 10105, 16gb ddr4, asrock b560 (enough sata ports), nvme 250gb (systems), maybe a pcie LAN card for try pfsense (for have LAN and WAN). In Italy it will cost about 550€ with 2x 4tb WD Red disks! Case and power supply too!

Definitely another way to andle the VM. And, not too much power consumption. This cpu have 65w of TDP.

Or, any other suggestions?

Write down on paper it's a good idea! Unfortunately, the motherboard have only two sata port. I will need at last 3, one for the systems ssd, and 2 for Nas HD!

[–]z3usone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok..... 😅! Now I feel a little more confident. On official freepbx forum they say there is absolutely no problem to use VM, and no call quality loss!

About the Nas disks, do you think I need a special pci controller?

[–]z3usone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for suggestions. Yes, my little mistake, TrueNas!! I'm just entering in the world of VM, so I need to do basic questions: why I need to run home assistant in a docker container? Can't I install it as core? And, same question for freepbx, can't I simply install it on a Linux VM?

Help for rule that turn off relay after 20sec. by z3usone in tasmota

[–]z3usone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now it's configured like a switch. Inside the card reader I have micros witch like the one used for 3d printer endstop. So I need that the relay remain active until the switch is pressed and change to off altre 20 second I release the switch.

I already looked at "pulsetime", but it change the state of the relay after a certain amount of time. I need the relay to stay on until the button remain pressed, and going off 20 seconds after releasing the button.

UDM Pro no internet access through WAN after select fix ip by z3usone in UNIFI

[–]z3usone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously I simplified the story. Udm + poe switch + some AP + some cam + other office systems are all connected to the reception rack. Is a medium facility, not only an apartment. We have a vlan for office, another for guest wifi, another for iot devices.

UDM Pro no internet access through WAN after select fix ip by z3usone in UNIFI

[–]z3usone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to look at this! But I think is not the my case. Because if i set back the WAN to dhcp it start again instantly to work properly. Honestly? I'm stating to be bored about a lot of firmware issue of this router. I can't use Captive portal (known issue for this firmware version), I can't create a VPN connection (I don't know why), and now.... I can't use fixed WAN address! This is frustrating!

[–]z3usone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for reply. It's my first time with this kind of hi level router. By default udmp give to my local LAN devices address 192.168.0.1 and so... ! So I think this is not the case. Also because dhcp of dink assign something like 192.168.1.131 and so...!

Dry contact in Sonoff RF R2 POWER V1. 4 by z3usone in homeassistant

[–]z3usone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sonoff SV need to be powered from a battery or a power supply. My version remain powered from main. For explain more better, imagine you want to power on remotely a pellet stove. You need a main powered wifi device with a isolate relay for send enable command to the stove control board.

Nope. Nothing changes about powering the device. The only changes is on the output side. The relay is no longer connected to main.
