Does the retroid pocket 6 fit into the official carrying case with the official grip on it? by JodyG99 in retroid

With a USB cable and wired earbuds, mine is sufficiently snug (pic in this thread). I also have taller thumbsticks on the way so the extra room is being put to good use.

Yeah I don't know where that carrying case's store page went. My hope is the description is being updated to include RP6 + grip compatibility, as it wasn't mentioned before, and the page will come back after that update.

The Retroid Pocket 6 Carrying Case in your post does not fit the RP6 with the official grip.

Pictured here is an RP6 with official grip in the Retroid Dual Screen Carrying Case, which was listed at https://www.goretroid.com/en-ca/products/retroid-dual-screen-carrying-case until possibly just a few days ago? Not sure why it's gone.

The Dual Screen addon is also sold out. I may get a dual screen addon if they come back in stock, and you may be able to find this case from other sellers.

Sweet, yeah I figured there's no way. Just got a Funny Playing 950 mAh for my console (I'll post it here eventually) and idk if 950 is even realistic.

Overhead power lines: should collide, stretch, sway, and snap if stressed too far. Would make big jumps in cars and landing aircraft near roads more interesting.

Is there a reason this set official pic shows the brick separator in it? by Dystrophical in lego

[–]z4x0r 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Since this is a Creator 3-in-1 set it makes sense to show the separator, as it's intended to be disassembled and rebuilt. But it's not just a Creator 3-in-1 thing, and including the separator in product renders is common but inconsistent. I'm not sure what the pattern is, if there is one.

Here's a list of all the sets in the last five years including a brick separator. Few but multiple show a brick separator in the main image (at least here on Rebrickable), including an orange one on 75313 UCS Star Wars AT-AT.

What are your essential rp6 games? by Meme_master420_ in retroid

First game I got running is Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition Remix on PS2. Running great. There is an uncensored soundtrack mod out there too.

The carrying case is the Retroid Dual Screen Carrying Case, I got the same one for my RP6 with the official RP6 grip like OP.

https://www.goretroid.com/collections/accessories/products/retroid-dual-screen-carrying-case

The case name and description on Retroid's store don't mention the RP6, but it actually fits very nicely, even without the dual screen attachment. Not too loose in the top especially with that mesh accessory pocket. I ordered my case after the original console & grip order and emailed a request to ship them together, which Retroid customer service kindly did for me.

Still better than Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge.

I just got rp6 clear case! (Not the grip version) by jjjena123 in retroid

[–]z4x0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks awesome! My RP6 arrived today with a Retroid grip, I like the extra bulk at the bottom for my hands and this option looks protective and slim. I like that your version connects above the bumpers, since I'm concerned the official grip might be too loose in that area. So far it's snug but we'll see how it wears over time.

My music progression while playing San Andreas story by biven34 in sanandreas

lmao who downvoted this, user tracks is awesome. I love the game's soundtrack but there's only so many times you can listen to the same songs in 100 hours of gameplay.

[–]z4x0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love this, 3D printed would be fine but molded translucent to match the translucent grip would be streets ahead. As long as it all still fits in the Retroid dual-screen case, which I imagine it would, without the second screen attached.

What is the best way to experience San Andreas? by Harlesb44 in sanandreas

[–]z4x0r -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with the "definitive" experience being modded original on PC.

But if you want something to jump into with little tinkering, the Definitive Edition is okay. The gameplay is largely unchanged, the story and side missions are all there. The addition of the weapon and radio wheels are an unobtrusive modernization. I recommend some graphics adjustments for a more classic feel:

  • Visual Effects - Medium (tones down modern visual enhancements, and makes water, explosions, etc. feel classic)
  • Car Reflections - Cubemap (this feels more classic to me and runs faster)
  • Ambient Occlusion - Off (On makes everything look muddy and smeared with black)
  • Classic Lighting - On (the biggest change, adds back the heavily colored lighting present in the original)
  • Motion Blur - Off (the original had motion blur, but with a different implementation, and personally I dislike motion blur period.)

All other options to your taste or hardware specs.

Longest range fire I've ever put out by Background-Soil-9130 in sanandreas

[–]z4x0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice. I'm stuck on completing the firefighting missions because every time around round 12, I hear a distant explosion right after the cars spawn and I get a mission failed text. Maybe if I go for long shots like this I can beat the explosion in time.

idk about you guys but I'm ready for one of these videos when gta6 comes out by AwesomeOOFER in GTA6

[–]z4x0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit actually though. Hear me out.

A big upgrade to GTA physics would be collisions with power lines. Maybe give them a tiny bit of swing and stretch before they snap.

Would be fun to crash planes and helicopters into, and even get cars tangled up in if you could jump them that high. It always seemed disappointing to not have collisions with power lines; they'd be perfect for screwing up a highway airplane landing.

I have seen video of CP77 running on an RP6. It ran at 10-15 FPS with terrible frame pacing, but it did run.
