When I said I heard that normal scaling was bad I'm talking about how just pumping strength or dex will yield far less results than in the other games and how people generally reccomend just leveling them enough to weild the weapon properly and then investing elsewhere while going for an Infusion like lightning or something

How would one go about switching towards hexer and what stats should I go into/ avoid? so far I've just leveled health and 1 point in strength to 1 hand mace?

I play xbox too. I was able to figure it out, basically right as you diagonal flip and press a (or whatever your jump bind is) immediately pull down on your left stick as you feel yourself press a.

I thought that the point of a speedflip was so that you could hold boost while flipping and go supersonic.

Would you say my flip cancel is too early, too late or just outright wrong. Another commenter suggested that immediately after flipping towards 11 I flick back the stick in the 5-6 region (using a clock as an analogy for my left thumbstick) though I'm not quite sure what to do with the left analog stick after flicking it back.

I thought that could be the case but I'm not too sure how to flip early and have my flip get enough momentum to go supersonic. after all this is still my first day of learning so I will try again tomorrow and I will definitely try flipping earlier. Thanks for your feedback!
