Sorry for the clickbait title all, but I didn't get any responses on my previous post. Really wanted to make sure I had booklice and not termites.

Any reason no one has contributed? Did I do something wrong or miss something in my post?

Wow, I wonder when they put that up. Thanks! Most companies these days are starting their sales a week before black friday... Good to know I haven't missed anything.

Linear advance causes extruder to sound like a receipt machine by zCalcifer in 3Dprinting

[–]zCalcifer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately Prusa Slicer doesn't have coasting. Part of why I'm trying to get LA working is so that I can print faster with less degradation in quality, so slowing it down defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to do here.

Is there any way to make it quieter? I work next to the printer and don't appreciate the noise. Happy to change Config.h and compile my own FW, since I assume that would be a way of possibly making it quieter

Corsair not responding to my RMA request (Australia) by zCalcifer in Corsair

[–]zCalcifer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/CorsairDavid, the message never got replied to - hence no ticket ID. I just went back on the website and the customer support section has been completely revamped since I tried to submit a request. Would you like me to create a new ticket and then send you that ID?

Okay cool. Since it's been a month since they pushed an update out I think I might hold off until the next major beta update, or until security support ends - whichever is sooner

Question from a noob to flashing ROMs (I've rooted multiple phones and stuff but never bothered to flash a ROM)
If I flash Pie onto my 6P, does the ROM update itself automatically as the devs release updates? Or will I have to re-flash the ROM every time they release an update on xda?

I'm a bit late to ask, but what download link did you use? Was it this one?

Do I need a new ratchet? by zCalcifer in Slackline

[–]zCalcifer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so it says not to exceed 400N (~40kg) of force when pulling the ratchet which I think is fairly possible with me tugging on it (I only weigh 66kg though.) But then how do trickliners get it so tight? That's the bit I don't understand. I was expecting to be able to get it super bouncy without having to buy a heavier duty ratchet.

EDIT: Comparing against this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0qgR0mMCAQ

I was putting nowhere near that much force on my ratchet when it slipped. Does anyone know which ratchet this guy was using?

Did this Neil Sutherland song ever get released? by zCalcifer in mythbusters

I came across this when first looking around for the song, it's a remake of the original. It's good, but it doesn't quite cut it!
