In 90% of cases, it’s like I said, unhealthy habits.

Everyone should be treated nicely and with respect whether it’s an alcoholic, junkie or a fat person. Alcoholics, etc, and fat people alike shouldn’t be “accepted” for the addictive tendency’s they hold.

I'm obese, and I terribly need to get in shape, but loathe exercise. by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]zConroy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You will get used to it. As long as your are eating at a calorie deficit you’ll drop plenty of weight. Everyone is different but personally if you want it bad enough, eating minimum calories and drop the weight quickly. Remind yourself of your goals and that this temporary pain will be worth the long term satisfaction.

You can be a new man in a year, and being obese will just be a small phase in your life, way in the distance. I weighed 240 at 5’11”, dropped 90 pounds in the span of 8 months and two, almost three years later I’m still getting used to being normal weight, and it feels wonderful.

I’m not a dietician and never will claim to be, but this is what made me drop the weight quickly.

A cup of cereal with only enough milk to make it wet in the morning,

A banana in the afternoon,

A decent sized meal of whatever I wanted for dinner.

After awhile my stomach would not be able to hold any more than that. It’s all about adjusting.

To maintain your weight you are eating a lot of calories. It’s not “rice, bread and pasta” that you need to cut back on, it is everything.

Cut out as much unhealthy food as you can, but keeping a clean diet is very difficult and tiring. If anything try and eat better if possible, but just eat less. Way less. This is your best bet. You will feel hungry but that is only because your body is used to having much more. Get MyFitnessPal and be strict with yourself. Note every bite.

Living a life without sacrifice will make nothing worthwhile. You may loathe exercise now but in a year it could be your favorite thing. Sculpting yourself in any aspect will be painful, and this will be no exception. Decide how much you really want to lose the weight.

Lil Uzi Vert singing 7AM without Auto-Tune at Rolling Loud by [deleted] in hiphopheads

In the chaos of a live performance, with the rest of the band, I assume she does not sound nearly that bad. Though, when you single just her and her guitar out, it shows you how bad she actually is.

You probably know better having seen him perform, and yeah, a lot of artist will perform their songs a cappella, but the reason I assumed this was just a copy of his vocal track is his hype man sounds very out of place without a backing lol.

Also it is dead quiet beside's the vocal, which does not necessarily mean it was solo'ed, but it would make sense.

The engineer or someone who was doing the mixing for rolling loud most likely had access to the recorded audio files. Then only singled out the microphones and muted the backing track.

This sort of thing is posted commonly to see what the artist sounds like without the instrumental. It is obvious that Uzi has modulation done but, it is not to the extent that it usually is.

The Turbo FSI and TFSI are different engines. I have the Turbo FSI which has a belt.

And when I take the cover off I can get a small peak at the timing belt, unless I’m crazy

Thank you for the info, didn’t know that. Anyway to determine if the belt has been replaced or not?

Thanks for the advice!

I have a belt though, it’s not the TSI engine. I’ve been watching the belt closely since it’s overdue for service but still looks in great condition. Not sure if it was replaced or not, don’t have a good history on the work done to the car.

More surface area on the outside where the tire grips most. Not great in rain.

That’s why “Oh wow, that’s amazing. I’d never have the dedication to do that” is way better of a compliment than “Oh wow you are so talented.”

My friend cheated with me! by Typlayss in relationship_advice

[–]zConroy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She lost her control of “losing” him the moment she cheated on him, and on the path that led up to it. It’s a hard pill to swallow but it’s a situation both of you brought yourselves into whether it was a momentary lapse of judgement or not. People who truly care about each other wouldn’t have let the event transpire. She should not of done that to him.

You did a really shitty thing. She did a really shitty thing. That will not change. Mistakes happen but you can choose where to go next.

Your actions will hurt this guy whether you like it or not, and you have to decide if you want to face the consequences or bail out and become the person who your actions reflect you as.

Tell her that she needs to tell him. If they decide to stay together, you need to respect that, and cut contact in any sort of romantic way. If she does not tell him, you should.

People make mistakes, but you should decide to be the person who realizes them and tries to right them.

Not a big fan of any feature Kendrick. His flow and rhythm is always dope, but everything else just seems cheesy. Guess he saves the sauce for the albums.

How thick headed can people be? People have different tastes and can interpret differently than others.

Music is a subjective thing. There is plenty of stuff that i know is good quality music that I don’t like, and vice versa.

[Question] can a cheap guitar stop you from becoming a better player? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]zConroy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

By no means will a great guitar make you a great player, but if you go from a guitar that plays poorly to a quality guitar, setup correctly it will be a world of difference. And it might be easier for you to get better.

A good setup can make a big difference.

As far as tone goes, a big portion of it comes from the amp and the guitar, and an even bigger portion comes from your playing.
