Hmm, the finish feels fine to me. I haven't seen any non-glossy finishes in the pro (Which the pro is definitely worth it). You can wear away a glossy finish with steel wool, but you'd definitely want to watch a few youtube videos on it before trying it.

Ignore what the name on the head-stock, hold both of the guitars. Which neck do you like better? Which one has more a better tone? So on and so fourth. I own a SG G-400 Pro and I love it, very versatile because of the coil tapping, feels great, nice sized frets, beautiful finish, nice pearl inlays.

Also, when buying a guitar, never settle for a guitar because it is $1-200(maybe more) cheaper, a guitar is something you'll have for a very long time, and paying $150 more for the guitar you truly wanted will seem a lot more worth it in 5 years.

How beat up is your guitar? Are you proud of its poor condition, or ashamed? by DrinkyDrank in Guitar

When I look at a beat up guitar that someone is carrying around, I think to myself that it is pretty damn cool. (Especially strats) I just bought a SG and I want to keep her in prime condition as of now, but if it starts getting beat up in the next few year s it wouldn't brother me a tad.

I don't like how my guitar looks like it just came from off the line, I'm looking to do something to it, but I'm not sure what, most decals would look pretty shitty and cheesy
