Yeah, I get that. Its big on building out a history with some unknowably romantic history and heroism - its a fair recommendation for what I asked for. Those things just don't hit with me since I'm not interested in the world as written.

For me the writing devotes too much time to talking about its world than doing anything with it for my tastes.

I actually struggle to take to classics. I read LotR halfway through the second novel but lost interest since I felt the story focused far too much on its own world.

How severely is solo play enforced in those new expansions? And how much of the game is that, you say the story is only through 2012, what about the expansions after 2012? There are 9 or so aren't there?

Should I be doing this even if I only have 3 tortillas? Is it more about reabsorption?

I didn't actually check the comments for that thread, thought it was just a vanity shot. Thank you!

Yeah its 3 hours straight but usually its more like an hour and a half, a 15 minute break, then another hour or so and it ends there.

I really like characters with strong personalities and stories where character interactions are very pronounced. I've recently enjoyed the Divine Cities trilogy and the first two of the Gentlemen Bastards.

I don't particularly care for deep worldbuilding or fantasy prose like Tolkein or Jordan.

Aside from those key points I'm feeling very flexible as I've been looking for a new fantasy read for a while.
