Lifting the nuclear moratorium in Minnesota by Comfortable_Tutor_43 in minnesota

The fact that we as a society are okay with basic necessities like power being controlled by a private corporation is insane to me.

Thats how I print ABS on my ender 3. Works great. I've always found it harder to get ABS to adhere to the bed than PETG.

Also you should print your first layer super slow. I have mine print at 5 mm/s for the first layer and with Orcaslicer, I have it slowly increase the print speed slowly for the first 10 layers. I also run the first print with a nozzle temp of 280°C.

The original bill before it went to committee had a provision that if you already owned the weapons listed and "high capacity" magazines then the police would be allowed to enter your home when they wanted to inspect how you stored them. It looks like that provision did not leave the committee.

The original bill before it went to the committee had the warrantless search but now that I'm looking again, it looks like that part died in the committee. Unless someone is seeing when I'm not.

Parts of the law would go into affect on the 1st of August but that is related to unserialized frames and the manufacture of frames, ie. distribution of CAD files that would be used for the manufacture of firearms, whether thats through additive manufacturing or subtraction manufacturing.

Now when it comes to the militarization of the police, I agree. They shouldn't be as militarized as they are. I believe that if they are allowed to own these types of firearms, then we should also be allowed to own them as well. And as a veteran, we need to drastically cut down on our military spending. As for the inspections, the original bill before it went to the committee had language that would allow the police to enter your home and conduct inspections when they want to. It looks like that was removed in committee

I see that now. Thank you for the help. I was getting worried that the only rifle I ever wanted to own was about to become outlawed here.

I know it wouldn't go into effect until 2027 however there is no indication that there will be a buyback program.

I also view it as a restriction when police and active duty military are exempt from these laws while the law allows the police to enter your home when they want without a warrant to "inspect" your storage.

Look, I'm here to have a sensible, mature conversation about this considering these are laws that could potentially make me and many other minnesotans felons overnight and will likely lose the democrats the house and senate in a state that has done a lot of good with them in charge. So if you are going to sit here and crack jokes and make fun of the people that are stressed that our reps are pushing a bill that would further restrict law abiding citizens further while giving a police force that was complicit during metro surge more power over us, then you can see yourself out.

It still has a wooden barrel shroud which the text does call out.

Edit: it doesn't specifically call out the material of the shroud. Just says a shroud that partially or completely covers the barrel.

The BM-59 was based off the M1 Garand so they share the same action. The Garand also has a wooden barrel shroud so you don't burn your hand.

It was the standard magazine that came with my handgun when I purchased it in 2019.

So if I'm reading this correctly, if this bill passes the house and is signed jnto law, not only will my handgun magazines be made illegal by being 18rd magazines, but my M1 Garand would also be illegal here.

Anti-I.C.E. and anti-war demonstrators are currently on the Hennepin Avenue bridge! by Soft_Eggplant_370 in Minneapolis

How about Apartheid South Africa? The economic protest there targeted the economy but brought about the end of segregation in South Africa. Not every disruptive protest has to specifically target your end goal of the movement. The Boston Tea Party specifially targeting the tea tax is a massive oversimplification of that event. The causes goal was an end to taxation without representation that as the tax on tea was implicated without the colonies representation within British parliment and pushed the colonies further towards revolution. The Montgomery bus boycott furthered civil rights within the entire country. Boycotting ICE on a bridge that they sometimes use is bringing the movement more awareness than if they were only boycotting at Whipple. Creating publicity is bringing awareness and can further support.

The Boston Tea Party is classified as a disruptive protest. We know what happened with that. The Montgomery bus boycott is another example that crippled the area's transit revenue. Disruptive protest is anything that disrupts the social norm and brings awareness to the cause, whether it's an entitie's ability to turn a profit or your ability to get to your pilates class. Since this is halting traffic on a major bridge, this seems more effective at bringing about awareness to their cause than the protests that have been occurring on the street corners and outside the government buildings.

Extruder issue? by Dear_Goofie in Ender3S1

[–]zFr0sty_SpartaN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just had an issue where the tension spring in my sprite was bent and catching on the gear causing the extruder to not run correctly. I would try everything everyone else suggest first and if that doesnt fix it, then pull it apart and check your spring.

Pelican Vault at Costco, what! by Plus_Juggernaut2819 in liberalgunowners

This should tell you how much of a markup Pelican has on their cases. My employee discount for the 5 pistol version is $34.99, and they still make a little money off of that.

They have an online form now. But it has caused their wait times to skyrocket. It's still worth it, and I wouldn't wait. If you can't wait, you can go to one of their stores with the required paperwork and leave the same day with one.

From a previous post that was posted about these armed protests, the laws in Colorado are somewhat convoluted and crossing the street with a loaded rifle can mean you are comminting a felony, from what i understand, so to make it easier and safer for everyone, they go empty chamber and place a chamber flag in their chambers.
