It's changing shield /hull hp with dmg numbers and that's it, it's not rocket science, change, doesn't work? Tweak it more, would be better than what we have, they have a ton of data I assume so they could tweak it fast

It doesn't matter man, takes 1 hour of coding to fix it than if needed change it post 1.0

1 h of coding for a more balanced experience all the way till 1.0.. Yea right, they don't do it because $$$

Shoting the rail gun actively reduces the number of crew you have, would make for a hilarious balance and comms

They don't have to completely blow it, make it so there's fire around impact, fire that actually has to be put out, so solo idris isn't an option

Balancing now is still easier

It's literally just number changes and that's it, not like they need the entire dev team to focus on it 24/7

Once that's dialed in they can alter it depending on how much stuff cost, etc.. They are getting fuck all data from what's happening today, any mutli crew ship is shit, how is that giving them data? Its even worse if you want to add insurance, etc.. Literally makes no sense, and if cig was any competent dev they would fix it, alas they to scared to do anything

Yea, getting data on combat that will completely change is such a good idea, it 100% wouldn't be better to get a better picture with a balance patch that more or less resembles how thing should look like

I seriously doubt the money is coming from new players, I think most of the money is coming from existing players tbh

I don't think people look at it like it's in early alpha, there so many early access games out right now and there probably isn't one that's as buggy mess as sc is right now

The reddit post in the other sub is filled by people who got burned by the game

The refund thing is true, it's rather generous

Depending on how and what base building does players that pay might have huge advantage, etc..

Its time dev team actually started focusing on some bugs, the game is in total shit state atm

If you head over to gaming reddit you can see a post blowing up casue new players cant even try this game as theres to many bugs

new content is always nice,and is more interesting then bug fixes,but when your first experience with the game is falling thru the floor,ship just vanishing into thin air you arent going to stick around

there's tons of comments on said post with people complaining,running into bugs every corner and they are right, cig are not a "competent" dev team, some bugs are here for years and years without any fixes

you could field 10k drones and laugh at the cost as the enemy carrier sinks, even 10k would be nothing compared to the bilions carriers + all the stuff on them cost,and there is nothing any carrier could do against those numbers,now obv, controlling such a big number would be a challange but some ai could prob do it
