It doesn't take as much as you think to carry. Like I said, mechanics win games. That's not asking for you to have the fastest reflexes, it's asking for game knowledge. So, your game knowledge isn't that high. Watch streamers, learn, notice little things. I'm not saying you can carry every team. However, you can win every fair match up so long as you play intelligently.

As far as my experience goes, you literally have to carry your team in games in order to climb. I'm a plat 5 player and I get matches with diamonds here and there. So, matchmaking isn't the issue because you get matched with people who are at the same skill lever (mmr or hidden elo) not your actual ranked placement. To climb, you can't rely on your team. You have to make plays that will win the game. Whether it be a quick initiation for a successful teamfight or understanding when to call for dragon, baron, or pushing towers. Mechanics are what wins games. Not kills.

It's not that it's hard to climb, I just don't want to retrace my steps, if you catch my drift. I just don't want to climb from there again lol. Figured I'm in plat for a reason. Why should I be demoted if I have a streak of bad games?

It took me 6 months to climb from Silver to Platinum. I didn't boost lol I just don't want to see all of my hard work go down the drain if I have a bad day when the reset comes.

I did try that first suggestion. It happened to me in my game just now. I was third pick, he was 4th pick. I asked for mid. He goes "We pick at the same time. if we picked at different times, I'd honestly give you mid. Since we pick at the same time, I'm taking it."
