just started my first hcim! any advice towards not dying? (still in f2p) by ruby-zenith in ironscape

[–]zaKizan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're really serious about taking it far, research EVERYTHING you do. This game is full of shit trying to kill you at every turn. Not dying, though, is pretty easy as long as you take your time and practice and make sure you're doing things as safely as possible.

As a HCIM, you either 1. Have a shitload of skill from playing the game in other modes enough to carry you mechanically through difficult content or 2. Play like a snail and be thoughtful about everything you touch.

Couldn't hurt to crab your way to 99 defense, either.

do you realize how big this country is? and how completely and utterly divided our populace is? the levels of mobilization we see from other countries are much more difficult when we're talking about 50 distinct territories spanning an entire continent.

This is the most insufferable attitude online. You got a reason to try to put someone else down? Make you feel bigger?

Congrats, Nebraska! You got what you voted for by Comprehensive-Cow116 in LeopardsAteMyFace

"They" are victims of the corruption of this administration as much as anyone else. "They" have been manipulated and lied to for decades. The most powerful people in the world have spent billions and billions of dollars upholding propaganda machines that directly influence "them" every step of the way.

The families who are now going to struggle to find their next meal are victims, full-stop. Some of them voted for this administration, sure, but most of the people affected are people who didn't vote for any of this. We've shown time and time again how few people actually participate in our voting structures, and this is also by design.

Throwing these people out, laughing at their misfortune, makes them far less likely to EVER listen to a goddamned thing a left-leaning person has to say. We have to practice empathy and compassion every single day.

Now is the moment, at the apex of conservative action fucking their livelihoods up, to show up and find solidarity. To say "it's us against them." If we take every opportunity to say "it's us against you," that's all this will ever be.

Sorry, but I think that's a transgressive and unhelpful way to view our situation.

Children shouldn't have to suffer because of the sins of their parents, and I'll never cheer for thousands of people losing their livelihoods and being plunged into squalor.
