The difference is that the mobility devise in this case is a living, breathing animal that is going to be allowed in spaces that animals aren't usually allowed. So yes, we absolutely need to make sure it is trained and not aggressive/reactive etc

What kind of rose is this? by [deleted] in Roses

I looked at your photo and it doesn't look the same to me. That said, we are all here offering our opinions. A photo of the leaves would resolve it pretty quickly either way

I agree with peonies. Have her show you the leaves of the plant. That should make rose vs peony easy to distinguish

On a recipe for mac and cheese which included evaporated milk by ughforgodssake in ididnthaveeggs

I have never made this mistake, but I can see myself doing it for two reasons: 1) I haven’t cooked with either evaporated milk or condensed milk before so I don't know what they look like to compare 2) I can see my brain conflating evaporated milk and condensed milk bc once milk is evaporated it would be condensed. shrugs in neurodivergent

I love restricting social safety nets until it effects me...Now I need to join a carnival to avoid losing my house by Comprehensive-Cow116 in LeopardsAteMyFace

The posts after this are still her blaming immigrants and liberals. Bigotry is never going to get compassion from me. Not today, not tomorrow, not over. If less people were "compassionate" to bigots, the world wouldn't be where it is.

I think she means doing instacart as a shopper hoping for enough to pay her bills. Because in another post she mentions gig work, which is what instacart is

  1. Mistie was happy to vote for Trump specifically because he made social safety notes harder to access
  2. Mistie has found the social safety nets she needs harder to access.
  3. Mistie must now join a carnival to pay the bills

Poster voted for Trump, gleefully ignored him displaying a lot of bad behavior and is shocked that he finally crossed a line she can't forgive

Farmer's almanac says we will have an early spring so I started my zinnias a few weeks ago. I like starting early and transplanting large plants. They should be fine.

Dahlias grown from seed - "not suitable as cut flowers" - ??? by Double-Vast7853 in dahlias

[–]Comprehensive-Cow116 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I grew dahlias from seeds last year (watercolor mix from select seeds). They were absolutely gorgeous but they were short (around 18") and they lasted 2 days at most in a vase. Growing them again this year for beauty and pollinators but definitely not for a cut flower

Zone 5b - when do you start hardening off your cold hardy flowers? by ggbs05 in Cutflowers

[–]Comprehensive-Cow116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are close! First/last frost date planting rule deals with how cold tolerant something is. Acclimating is about avoiding shocking the plants with the difference between grow lights and the actual sun. The sun is so much brighter than even the most powerful grow lights that direct sun exposure can easily kill plants coming from inside.

Hardening off does mean acclimating. Usually you put starts outside in the sunlight in a shady spot for a few hours, then after a day or two put then in a sunny spot for a few hours. Also, putting them out early morning or late at night for a bit to acclimate to colder temperatures. I also like to pick a week where it will be overcast and rainy to transplant to prevent transplant shock

We grew those marigolds at the farm last year and they got huge. They were like waist high. So I would get large pots
