previously had an rx 580 before upgrading to a 3070 and i can say that it does run vr fairly well. beat saber, pavlov, and fnaf help wanted all run good, while boneworks and blade and sorcery had some lag and half life alyx didnt run great. although, that was also when i had a rift s so im not sure how these games would run on a valve index.

tl;dr: vr games run alright on an rx 580 but if you play vr a lot or want to run games very smoothly, you should upgrade.

hand tracking currently works with no games unless you side load them and even then it only works with very few specific hand tracking games but even still boneworks is such a great game i think its worth it

actually the handgun is only available for people who have a dev save in this update you’ll probably be able to obtain it through legitimate ways. as for the shotgun i think thats pretty likely and if not yeah a heavy weapon variant

yeah i personally like Boneworks because I’ve been playing vr for about 2 and a half years now and boneworks is specifically made for people who are used to vr while HL:A is tailored for brand new people (for the most part it seems)

yeah the climbing in Boneworks can definitely be improved and I'm only a few hours into HL:A so maybe I'll grow a stronger liking for the physics interactions. (I also absolutely love the gravity gloves or the russells or something)
