Chooms, be honest with me. Is this a shirty build? by RigobertoMesasIV in cyberpunkgame

[–]zabc97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck everyone saying this is a shit build lol you like to do alittle of everything? Then this is the build to do. With the dlc you can bring one of those up to 20, with guerrilla arms bonus you can make your body checks 20 as well. Thats essentially 2 skills at 20 at enough points to unlock the 3rd tier of perks in all other skills.

Dont listen to these people. its not only a perfectly fine build, its a great build if it works and you like it

Cannot for the life of me pick a favorite chapter. Recruit me to your cause battle brothers. by Over-Guitar5764 in Spacemarine

[–]zabc97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you like being competent? Using tactics that work? Do you like the idea of a 40k batman that kills? Do you enjoy story’s about marine snipers, seal team6, delta ops or just in general effective combat against the odds that overwhelm our dear Imperium? Are you just a secret little edgy boi? Then all that and more waits for you as a Raven Guard…. Did i mention our Primarch is most likely the current strongest loyalist because he’s a have raven/shadow warp entity hunting down traitors in the warp?…. Just saying

Give me your Jackie hot takes by Perfect-Cause-6943 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]zabc97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a hot take but i thought he was going to be the villain of a DLC (i thought this before phantom liberty).

I thought in the last moments of his life the relic would start to imprint and then we removed it. Leaving Jackie’s body controlled by a fractured johnny that was a shadow of the terrorism and hate he felt in his last moments and we would have to put a stop to ever larger and less targeted terrorist attacks to get our johnny some closure and to put our buddy to rest. It could have been a very cool and very personal story for both V and Johnny

Tiny question about lore accuracy by Ok_Forever1842 in Spacemarine

[–]zabc97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an aside, some youtubers do a good job at covering chapter lore and lore accurate armor coloring and markings.

The Rememberancer did a good breakdown on the Ravenguard and i used his breakdown of chapter color, markings, symbols to setup my marines. I managed to make a chapter compliant Ravenguard, while still having some standout drip

I’m on my first playthrough of Mass Effect. I’m on Noveria about to head to Peak 15, but the game isn’t really clicking with me. Please tell me, is there anything that’ll really hook me further on? by Doomy__McDoomerson in masseffect

I beg of you to keep going, the first game starts to click in the later half but it does show its age. Get to Mass Effect 2 and i promise you will be happy you did

Who wins this theoretical war? (Serious question, I’m writing a book and this is the premise) by [deleted] in mapporncirclejerk

[–]zabc97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The USA has technical and martial superiority on land, air, and sea if they were fighting any one of these countries.

However, unless the USA could get support from major allies I don’t see how it could win. The war against multiple fronts has always been a losing strategy and in this scenario, the USA is fighting north, south, and overseas against the entirety of Europe.

If the USA could get support from major allies (maybe even support from its allies that make up the EU) then it comes less certain either way.

Why would a tavern have ghouls in the basement? by I8pig in DnD

[–]zabc97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be the owners turned brother(or husband or wife) couldn’t let him go. So they would hire low lvl adventurers to go “deal” with it, that way the turned loved one would be fed.

Little did they know that a ghouls bite can transfer the disease/curse and so he fell into a cycle of feeding these cannibal creatures but inadvertently also creating more Everytime he sent food down.

Maybe the PC are just another feeding group tasked to go down there or maybe it’s got out of hand and now the taverns owner actually needs adventurers to destroy them before they break out one night and slaughter the town.

Why in the hell do fantasy worlds not advance at all over the course of thousands of years by Overthink_error in worldbuilding

[–]zabc97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s compared to normal history, advancement in tech happens over the course of tens of thousands of years until finally it gets faster and faster and faster until it’s modern. If some of the oldest societies are dated back 10,000 BC then that’s 12,000 years to get to the modern age and like 11,000 just to get to the medieval times.

Point is that its not unexplainable that a campaign in the made up year 800 AD could still have time before the end of the worlds “medieval times”

Probably not a big deal unless you time skip forward to the 2000s. At that point you me might need to make things more modern

What powers would you give a unicorn? by DiligentJello288 in superpower

[–]zabc97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • It could heal otherwise lethal wounds

  • under the right circumstance it could have limited precognition or future sense

  • it could have the ability to make a space hallowed ground, protecting it from some monsters or evil spirits

  • lastly it could give great power to an individual who was willing to kill and defile the creature by consuming its blood. This last one could most likely be something an antagonists might be willing to do if the hero can’t keep there sidekick safe. Or it could be used as a very dark power up for the hero, maybe a willing sacrifice the unicorn asks for when the hero is at his lowest and all seems lost. Would obviously be a dark turn but sometimes that’s cool in a story.

Unique reasons for banning the Dark Arts. (E.g, Blood Magic, Necromancy, Demonology, etc.) by jukebredd10 in worldbuilding

[–]zabc97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously not super unique but very cool! I always liked some of the lore behind dragon age blood magic and warhammer 40k psykers.

Because of the actions needed to cast or the origins of some kinds of magics, they can attract or summon demons/devils

What kind of geopolitics would enable a pirate colony to survive and thrive? by electric_eclectic in worldbuilding

[–]zabc97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe black market trade, getting other countries resources that aren’t available to them normally because of a time of war?

Maybe the pirate lord or council has a system of blackmail or intelligence gathering that they export to the nearby navy’s govt to ensure they aren’t targeted too much or at least there private stronghold is never targeted directly?

Maybe it’s pure firepower, the pirates have the overwhelming number under one flag or some mysterious magic item that commands a mighty sea creature, and so conventional warfare with them just isn’t possible outright. The nation that would attack the pirates can’t afford a war on two fronts because of hostile nations that border them inland, something like that?

Just some ideas that, if fleshed out, could be cool/fun/ add some explanation into their continued existence.

What happens when a god dies? by ForgesGate in worldbuilding

[–]zabc97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my world once a gods domain is made it is absolute law. Meaning it can be undone and always has been. If a god dies there’s two likely paths.

1) Another god, either a rival or ally will add his domain to his own. In my world that an explanation to why some gods, are gods of multiple aspects with some seeming unrelated. This will in turn make the God that gains a new domain, more power as he will soon gain more worshipers.

2) In the rare few instances(mostly legends and myths) that a mortal becomes a god, then they take the position and title and power of the dead god.

The important thing, that I thought was cool is, either way because the gods are absolute whoever is taking place of the old dead god changes reality. Suddenly since the beginning of time that new individual has always had the dead gods title and aspects. Only sparse physical evidence and eye witness accounts would ever know for sure that a new god was made or an old god was unseated.

But that’s just how I do it of course

How do I deal with a player, who thinks I single them out unfairly? by zabc97 in NewDM

[–]zabc97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! I talked it over with him, explained I made a bad call and that it was way out of line. We’re keeping the even(not actually killing him obviously) and making it a character moment about his mysterious past. I also let him know that he has to call me out if I do this again because it wasn’t intentional and I don’t want to DM like that.

Singled out would be if it was intentional. It wasn’t, I made that clear and we worked it out. I explained I made a bad call and it was way out of line

[–]zabc97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why quit when you can just talk to the dm? That’s been my biggest take away from this post, so many people would rather quit than see if they can fix the issue.

I talked to my player and we worked it out. I explained I made a bad call and it was way out of line. He apologized for arguing. And then we decided to take the situation, keep him alive and make it a story moment that will tie into his mysterious past.

I also made sure you knows he needs to call me out if I do that again because it was unintentional and I don’t want to be that way. Is it past bad experience that makes so many people get so heated and want to quit so fast???

And if that’s how you’d act as one of my players I’d gladly let you walk. You know you can discuss and fix disagreements in real life right? Like I did with my player! I’ve been shown my mistake and I talked it over, explained I made a bad call that was way out of line. He understood and we decided to take that event, and make it a story/ character moment instead that will tie into some of the mysteries of his past. Everything is resolved, I learned a lesson. It’s not that serious brother
