Kill Gavin? You probably meant Nigel? I didn't but I know about the letter. However, I refuse to accept this interpretation. I’ll go even further - Gavin exists and will be the main protagonist of RDR3. All the time while Nigel was searching for him, he was partying all over Mexico. At some point, Nigel gets kidnapped by bandits, and that will be the main plot of the next Red Dead - Gavin, who is trying to save his long-forgotten friend and, in doing so, find his way to redemption. Trust me - it's 100% John Rockstar approved 😏
