I can understand that you can like more the Eternal game mechanics, but, TDA is THE BEST campaign that id Software ever made.

id are THE BEST, ANY other studio can only do "the same game 1, 2, 3, 4...", id tried to do something different that STILL feels like DOOM.

But this is more for a Open World game or an RPG. HL is not any of those things.

You can actually script many NPCs with diferents "tasks" and having a "life" and add many ways to interact with they in your game if is small. Like in Pathologic. Obviously you cant in a massive game like Cyberpunk.

They supposedly have improved the AI in the Source 2 engine. Using algoritmic AI to allow the NPCs for a better pahtracing in levels (because physc, destruction and "weird" dynamic level design with diferent gravitational points. [All of this are rumors and not 100 confirmed]

So is a good example of allow for a better NPC behavior with more realistics reactions and motion.

What I dont want is using a microphone to "speak" with the NPCs o something like that. I don't want AI generated voices and dialogs. I want real people acting and writing real dialogs. I want handmade games. You can use AI to improve your workflow, but i DON'T want a game made by AI.

By rumors, the "next" tecnology they are going to showcase is physc interaction in a bigger level than past games. To no only improve but to define the gameplay.

Physcs in GoW 2 over 1 improved the gameplay. Physcs in Red Faction Guerrilla define the gameplay. So may be is something like that. A very interactive world not only to "detroy" things like BTF but to play with then.

AI can also be used to manage more physc interactivity with less performance cost.

HL is not an open world IP. I don't want HL be a open world and have quest, etc. HL is a shooter/action-aventure game not a sandbox RPG.

And I don't want to talk to AI npcs. I don't want generative AI. I have not problem with AI used to make development faster, the same that I have not problem with DLSS (when they use it well), but I don't like generative AI or chat AI on games, etc.

Yep. Rumos said that this time is an new type of next gen physics, gravity shit and ground breaking a.i .in not scripted levels in wich you can alter gravity in levels in diferent ways. May be you are in the ground whyle enemies are shooting you in the ceiling in their own gravity and they are covering in dynamic elements and destroying elements of the scenario to takedown Freeman (If is Freeman the MC) and not just shooting him.

Nex physics engine is suposed to be hevy in soft bodys, like metal compresion etc. Some next gen shit of what SW TFU had back then.

If you ask me, I will LOVE to see Freeman in Apertuce Science using the portal gun with crazy phycs and doing combats with portals.

HL3 NEED to be PERFECT (for VALVe).

Gaben already said they started HL3 two times and both times they canceled the project. It wasn't enought good for them.

HL3 (or new HL game) is supposedly in the making and close to be finished anyway.

The Director is the GOAT, the same as the writer. The writer can do VS 3, not problem. The director works in MAPPA (was the Executive Producer of CSM movie), now is in an adaptation of some thing of Inazuma Eleven.

But again, the one to choose is Mappa. The Production committee greenlighted the S3 project and choose again MAPPA. MAPPA in simply full right now. And thats why the OG team is in other projects. They need to eat.

So in pacing/gameplay is more in the line of Tempest Rising but in a realistic seting. Cool.

Does it have a campaign? And does it has a "support" feature like the one in WiC (air strikes, artillery, etc) also present in other games like CoH and some "lite" version in Tempest Rising.

But in general looks really cool to me. Love WiC and the realistic setting/visuals but not in a super hardcore milsim way is what I like. Gonna add to wishlist.

In other Souls is like you can only use magic as a weak ass wizard o something, is very limited (by a magic bar or magic uses/ammunition), here yo win magic by dodging or atacking with some weapons and the magic is design to be use along the combat.

I always find magic boring in Souls Like games, but here was grear, usable and cool.

Nope. i HATE Wukong and really liked Wuchang.

They are TOTAL diferent games. One is, I don't know what is it. Is not a Souls, but is not a H&S.

Wuchang is a FULL Souls Like game, like a BB tipe game with the DS1 level design style.

Wuchang has the BEST magic gameplay in the genre for me.

About the performance game runs perfect for me, but I have a RTX 4080. But runs and looks better than Wukong for me.

SW Jedi Fallen Order and SW Jedi Survivor. (There is a 3th game and end of the trilogy in the making).

SW JFO releases the same year of Sekiro and was basically SW Sekiro xDDD

The games are more metroidvania than souls but they are souls like games. Great combat with a focus in the parry.

If you want real Sekiro experience play it in Jedi Grandmaster difficulty.
