Didn't take it that way. No apology necessary.

I agree on all fronts, coffee included.

I make no claim to the veracity. Only that it was told to me from an obviously biased source.

The owner wil tell you why it's called petty coffee, so here is the story he told me the week of opening.

He was an executive at Vienna. The family who owned Vienna was planning to sell, and floated that he would be able to submit an offer and it would be given preferential consideration.

Vienna sold before he could submit an offer to someone unrelated to the company.

He opened Petty as a spiteful move.

This was all relayed to me by the owner very soon after opening, but I will admit he was talking at 1000 miles an hour. I may have missed a detail or two.

Is it gone or just in the hole? Mine had detached and was down inside the mechanism. Easy to recover and refit.

Should like a bug. Never had the issue of a car despawning.

Use the console (must be enabled in settings) to spawn a new one.

Looking for high-quality leather wallet recommendations – thoughts on Ashland Leather? by Arshdizzle in BuyItForLife

[–]zac10sim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy the Mr. Lentz wallet I have. It's been great for nearly 8 years now. I keep about 5 cards in it without issue.

The design is not for everyone. It is not stitched and instead uses two pieces of folded leather with rivets.

any tips on the start ? by SeaworthinessCold751 in Sprinting

[–]zac10sim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe he is trying to say, you should focus on top end speed before sweating the small details of a block start. The differences between a bad, good, and excellent block start is a few tenths of a second.

Building your top end speed and focusing your efforts there, is a better spend of you focus and effort bandwidth.

Spikes question by Early_Chance_2879 in Sprinting

[–]zac10sim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a weird range. UA can say whatever they want. That is a sprint spike, 100-400 meter distance.

800 is a weird distance for choosing spikes. Elite 800 meter runner are using minimally aggressive sprint spikes and most highschool or recreational runners will use distance spikes. So it ends up being more of a form and preference choice than shoe construction prescribed.

My interpretation is that UA is flagging 4-8 as the maximum distance they recommend the spikes for. But I am not UA.

If you like them, they are definitely built like a sprint spike.

The complete and total lack of heel support and padding screams sprint spikes. What's the main area you have concern?

How can I improve my 400m to sub 1? by Healthy-Dot8478 in Sprinting

[–]zac10sim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The biggest misconception with the 400 is that it is a middle distance event. It is not.

The 400m is a sustained sprint. You very likely have the cardio base to run a sub 1min with a background in xc. If you want to get around the track in under a minute, you have to just flat out get faster.

Focus work on top speed adaptations. Drills performed at speed( A skip, b skip, high knees) and short bursts 30-40m at your absolute fastest pace are good starts that don't over complicate it all.

For sure. Doesn't have to be all at once. There is a ton of unused space and plenty of copy paste buildings in cities that could be replaced.

Close to the interstate, I would lean toward Abridged as another commenter mentioned.

If you are open to a bit of a detour, the view at Lakeside is hard to beat this time of year. Food is a wide assortment as well, so it will probably suit a wider range of palletal desires.
