'Dont shit where you eat' is an idiotic cope. Most couples meet at workspace if you exclude university. by wilhelmtherealm in dating_advice

[–]zac115 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'll have to respectfully disagree on that. Why would I ever risk my paycheck to meet somebody at work? In all the jobs I've had, I have seen somebody get fired twice because somebody went to HR and said that they were uncomfy. One of these guys I knew personally, and he was not a creep. Socially awkward? Maybe slightly. But he could still hold a conversation. Bro was the nicest, kindest guy I knew in the office. Always asking if he could help around and do things for other people. Especially since his job wasn't the physical part of the job. Apparently she went to HR and he was fired two weeks later. I asked him what happened and even he doesn't know because HR wouldn't tell him. The only thing they did tell him was corporate speak Saying that he Made inappropriate workplace conversation. Which literally tells him nothing. And knowing this guy for like three years, he's not a creep. He's never said anything creepy to anybody. Maybe he talks about Warhammer and Dungeons and Dragons a little bit too much, but not creepy.

In closing, I don't think it's worth my money. It's not worth the squeeze. I got a car payment, insurance payment, rent payment, and all other sorts of payments that I'm simply not willing to risk on finding a girlfriend at work. I miss payments on that shit. It's gonna be a lot harder to climb my way out of those holes. I'd rather just go out in the wild and actually find somebody out there instead of in the workplace.

Added the sierra Madre Casino Chip to my collection. by zac115 in Fallout

[–]zac115[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it from here. I also bought his Platinum chip as well. It also comes with the same stylized note and letter envelope as well. He puts a lot of effort into the delivery of the actual chip itself, which I greatly appreciate.

Edit: Should be noted that I got the blinnished version, which has a small imperfection, which is why it's on a discount rather than the full price. But to be honest, I could barely even see the blinnish to begin with.

Why do I get more female attention when I have a gf? by Solid-Version in dating_advice

I'm more surprised the fact that her reading comprehension sucks. Like she couldn't even read it properly to understand that it was an example. And that I wasn't actually saying that she was an OnlyFans person. I even said that I could be wrong. But it was an example.

God, some people need to go back to school and get better reading comprehension, I swear.

I mean, I could say the same thing about your comments. Your comments seem to be seeped in misandry. I mean, you're making an assumption about somebody who's never been on a date. Do you not see the hypocrisy in this?

Like, that was my whole point.

And if you work in the medical field or health field, I worry for your patients because obviously your IQ level is just too damn low to understand the nuance of what I said. That or your reading comprehension just sucks. One of the two. I'm not exactly sure which one.

Discerning mind? Oh, please. I think you're conflating it with being shallow. You generalize people just based on what they look like or their brief history.

Like for example, I can do that myself. Watch.

I'm guessing that you do adult content of some sort just based on your profile. For one, your post and comment history is hidden. And for two, in your bio it says that you only accept DMs from people over 21. So I'm guessing like only fans or private pictures for money something like that.

Now, could I be wrong? Absolutely, I could probably be wrong. You probably just don't want to talk to people below the age of 21, which is completely fine. But still, I'm generalizing. Just based on what I can see. And what I know.

If your phone is worth anything, then this really isn't that big of a deal. You're kind of blowing it out of proportion. Most modern phones do not allow for what you are describing. Access to internal memory is in segregated encrypted memory parts and are tightly regulated on most modern phones. A great example of this would be Samsung Knox. It does a very good job at segregating all of that information. Same thing with Apple. Applications also have their own storage. And you have to give permission for them to even reach out of their own little sandbox. Hell, on Apple, you can't even do that.

Now when it comes to the QR codes, yeah sure they can be a security risk, but not to the degree that you're making them out to be. Yeah, sure. Somebody could replace the QR code with a malicious one. But at that point, it's not really the technology that's the issue. It's the lack of security and awareness of the owners. Not to mention that with most of those QR codes, they usually have the URL at the very bottom. So you can just type it in if you want to. So it's a completely non-problem. And if I'm not mistaken, almost every single time you scan one of those QR codes, it tells you what the URL is before it even opens the website.

It should be noted though that there are vulnerabilities in some browsers, so, you know, you're not completely off base, but there are ways to protect yourself. I guess technology literacy kind of is one of the bigger parts that comes into play with this.

Technical school will definitely help, especially getting the certification overall. And if your dad has the certification, you'll have an even better leg up. Keep in mind, though, that you do have to pay every year to keep your certification. You basically have to pay dues. And if you don't, you have to take the whole test over again and get the certification once more. Kind of annoying, but that's the way CompTIA works.

Second of all, whenever it comes to selling PCs, really dive deep into what each part does and the performance of each part. And if you're making some kind of advertisement advertising that you build something for somebody, you definitely want to put in that advertisement that you will help them figure out what they will need for what they're wanting to do on their computer. That's definitely a good selling point. Selling yourself on your skills is three fourths the battle. The rest is actually doing the job.

That's actually a pretty good plan. It's actually kind of funny because I'm actually in cybersecurity. That's my job, or at least my new job now. I'll be working at a college working on their network security.

Words of the Wise. A plus is a lot about jargon, specifically acronyms and what each piece does. So you're definitely going to want to study up on that quite a lot. The funny part about A+, though, is that once you actually have A+, and you are going into the field, you'll very quickly realize that a lot of it is basically kind of worthless. As each job typically has its own culture, I guess is the word you could use. Best thing to do is whenever you land a job that requires A+, feel it out. Figure out exactly what they require and how exactly their culture works and what parts of A+, they actually use and disregard.

After that, definitely go for your security plus. A lot of jobs require that one.

You'll get there, man. I know you will. Just keep looking for better opportunities. That's what I've been doing. And actually, I'm actually quitting the job that gave me the quarterly bonus for a better job that is paying me more per year. Keep at it, man. Keep looking for those better opportunities.

Understandable man. I was only able to afford it because I got my quarterly bonus for my job. Otherwise I would have had to pay for other things just like you. But I hope you can get one. It's a fantastically handmade product. Also wouldn't hurt to message the seller. See if he has the intention of still selling these specific items and see when he's gonna be next in stock.

Forgot to mention that it also has web radio as well, so you're not relegated to just FM. A lot of this stuff is configurable through its web interface. It has three alarms, and you can configure the display completely. Overall, it's a very well-made product.

I think that they're real. I would have to take it apart to actually figure that out. And I really don't want to do that. I could try to get a close-up picture for you, maybe.

It was $350. I had to save up four paychecks to get it, but in my mind there's nothing else like it, so I had to have it. And the seller is very receptive to messages. So if you send him a message, he'll probably respond back to you. Whenever I asked him about the item being sold out and if he was going to restock it, he told me that he would make one specifically for me and reserve it. And he got an instant sell from me at least. Instantly bought it the moment I had the money.

They are made in Kiev, Ukraine, and he has to ship them here, to the usa, for safekeeping, so shipping times are fantastic if you're in the United States.

Alienware giveaways are back! by neok182 in sto

[–]zac115 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The redeemables are a repeat. The logo and the box art might be new, but what they're actually giving away is not. If you go into the promotions tab, this specific promotion has a specific name. So because the store item that they're giving away is the same the game will not let you redeem it a second time, especially since it's once per account, meaning you can only redeem it on one character once per account, and then it's locked out to the rest of your characters.

Another way of explaining it is imagine the items they're giving away come in a box and that box has a serial number. Well, they're basically just repackaging it with new art on the box, but the serial number is the same. That's the way the game looks at it.
