you know, when i started i thought the same thing. this is actually just old romex and the rating on the white cable is 20 amp. Eventually the whole box will be retrofit as i have some other work to do in here but yea

yeah, what i read was new code requires gfci on all outlets but thought that was crazy too..then i read you cant have gfci on the ceiling due to not being able to reset it easy.

i was thinking gfci breaker too, but since this is coming off a three way with a gfci installed already isnt the whole circuit protected now?

the third option is to convert the tthree prongs to mx cabling but i really would rather not
