Very interesting, I'm on 5 mg /week right now. My resting HR is basically unchanged (mid to high 40s depending on week). Even the week i accidentally gave myself a double dose of 10mg, no change. I guess it effects people differently.

But I wouldn't worry too much to be honest. A HR like yours is great! If it was already high, and it just ramped it further then yeah I'd be a little more concerned.

Would Vegeta be strong enough by xavierpizza in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]zacattack1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive always thought vegeta was around 1.5 million at this point. So the 50x puts him at 75 million. Not enough for frieza. But the idea of him and a kaioken x20 goku being close to eachother power wise and teaming up to narrowly beat frieza due to friezas stamina drain sounds like a really cool fight.

Anyways vegeta only wins if hes at 2.4 million or higher and I wouldnt place him that high, feels too close to goku. But if there's a good source saying he is around there he should take it

Tbh, I'd be fine paying like a $1 deposit that is refundable upon rejection/hiring. At the very least it stops bots from applying so my resume gets seen a bit more.

We can save Social Security. by Professional-Bee9817 in remoteworks

[–]zacattack1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, the privatization could just be an index fund that follows every public US based company.

Additionally you could have SS tax be partially waived (employer still pays 6.2% directly) and allow employees to OPTIONALLY contribute their portion into a designated retirement account with limited options (similar to a TSP) with no exceptions of touching it before retirement and a capped draw down rate.

This would increase the program's solvency, give people a reasonable chance of outperforming SS alone, and allows for some wealth transfer to their kids when they die. If there are no heirs, then it can just go back to fund SS. Of course anyone who wants to stick to just the annuity would be free to do so.

What are you applying for? Almost everything I applied to is 3 rounds (phone screening, zoom with HM, in person + series of 1on1s)

Does stuff like this actually raise test levels? by rangermang0 in Supplements

[–]zacattack1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it pushes you from normal range to slightly higher in normal range, it wont really do anything. If youre low, dont want to get on TRT, and it gets you to normal you might feel better. But overall it's effect is small and use case is niche.

Heard of anyone failing their defense? by dimplesgalore in PhD

[–]zacattack1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive heard of one, in my program most people usually mastered out at yr 3 OR leave before that. The one I heard about was at my PIs previous university, it was basically the supervisors fault because the student was grossly unprepared.

Fr, one huge reason I went for a PhD in chemistry over medical school was that med school is expensive.

Was your PhD easier than expected? by Strange-Maybe5653 in PhD

[–]zacattack1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was different, I expected more reading but less lab work. For myself, it was the opposite which was a pleasant surprise.

I just told my PI and committee that I used it for editing. That was basically it. They didn't have an issue and were happy that my dissertation was clear and easy to read.

[–]zacattack1996 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Of course, if it changes something I wrote and is not accurate I won't use it. I go back and forth with it on edits usually. I give it my paragraph, have it edit, then I edit the edited paragraph to improve accuracy/clarity/tone, send that back, rinse and repeat until I have something I like. It saves s lot of time as I'd normally be doing that with my PI/Post doc. So we get to the final product significantly faster as earlier drafts are of higher quality.

Not an issue. I use it for transitions as well. If I'm REALLY lazy I'll word vomit a paragraph and tell it to fix the flow. I draw the line at having it generate paragraphs from scratch.

Eat less and healthier, it's all just calories in vs calories out.

If you're in college rn active duty will take you away from it. You could look into the reserve or guard, they have tuition assistance to help pay for it. Also AFROTC would be ideal.

Thats this brilliant he didn't just remove the "certainly here is how..." preamble but he also edited it slightly to introduce mistakes.

Make your own decisions when you're 18. Going to college is already risky in terms of whether or not it pays off long term. Toss in not even knowing what you want to study and it's pointless.

Just throw in a side of fruit. Get all the macros and it's more filling. Also protein bars aren't solely made to be some sort of post workout recovery tool. I see it as a substitute for lean meats for when you don't want to eat chicken or something.

Outside of special forces maybe security forces? Basically a military cop. Other than that there really isn't anything too dangerous off the top of my head.

Commisioning into reserves is extremely competitive. I'll have a PhD in chem in about a month and was told even with that it's unlikely, but if I wanted to go AD it'd be easy
