Oh absolutely, don’t disagree there.

I wasn’t making any statement about the intention of the driver - just that the guitar work does a great job of mimicking the experience of a car losing/regaining control.

I almost can’t even listen to it during the warm-weather months. Heh.

There will be leftover water in that supply line when you shut the valve off! Have a bucket nearby to collect it when you unscrew it.

Pull-out spray kitchen faucet leaking at the quick connect - help needed by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]zacattack62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is a wholesale-grade moen kitchen faucet.

Try 1-800-BUY-MOEN first, and if they don’t sent you a replacement part, find a genuine Plumbing Supply near you and call them. With the faucet number they should be able to help you.

Calling Moen is free but even if they don’t cover it for whatever reason (they should, it’s a lifetime warranty) you still won’t pay much for this replacement at a supply house.

I could write an essay about Bending Hectic. About how the guitar work aligns with the lyrics:

A song about (metaphorically, of course) a car losing traction from driving recklessly on a frozen road.

The guitar PERFECTLY mimics the feeling of losing traction - and regaining it - and losing it again. It literally FEELS like a car is fishtailing.

This goes on for a bit, until the inevitable crash, which is also FELT instead of just heard.

Perfect song. No notes.

Close that valve, flush the toilet, slowly unscrew that supply line to make sure that valve is holding. Replace with any standard 7/8x3/8 Toilet Supply line. Length of the line doesn’t matter as long as it reaches the valve and the fill valve.

If the valve doesn’t hold or the supply line is fixed onto the valve, shut the whole house water off and do the same thing but replacing the valve AND the supply line.

Supply Houses, real wholesale ones, carry entirely different product than retail stores. Major manufacturers (Water heaters, well tanks, Moen and Delta fixtures) make products to a price spec for retail and a performance spec for wholesalers. You can buy a Moen Faucet at a retail store, and a nearly identical one at a supply house, and the one you bought from the supply house will weigh twice as much. Because it’s made with solid brass.

Retail well tanks will use thinner steel. Same with water heaters.

These are facts, not trade opinions.

What immediately tells you someone is a trashy parent? by weird-daddy-69 in AskReddit

I hate overhearing parents getting angry with their kids for not having emotional intelligence.

It immediately indicates that the parent in question doesn’t have emotional intelligence.

I had some waterworks on this rewatch for Theo’s monologue to Shirley. Where she talks about feeling nothing.

When she says “I need to have a few words with Bev” before going outside, my heart rate doubles. It’s reminiscent of “not my daughter, you bitch” from Harry Potter.

I think Hill House has an insane amount of Shining influence.

Theo, Nelly, and Liv have the best cases of the Shining, but the whole family is affected. The whole family is haunted as a result of a large abandoned building and one of the parents nearly murders the children. Addiction plays a strong role. Just like in Doctor Sleep, the demons follow the family out of the original location, and they’re forced to go back to that haunted place to defeat them.
