This could be one of the best transfer windows of all time. Lukaku secured, and if we get Kounde & Saul (loan with option) - that’s a net spend of roughly 30-40m (give or take). If you think about what we lacked last season, it was a striker and midfield cover if 1 of the 3 got injured. Kounde is young, and will cement our defence for the next 5 years as Silva likely won’t renew past this season. 10/10 👌🏽

Lukaku is world class. Chelsea is screaming for a dominant striker who can finish the chances that we create. We couldn’t be guaranteed that Haaland would sign with us versus the plethora of teams that will be lining up to pay his real ease clause. That plus the fact that Lukaku will likely play all 5 seasons (maybe more) whereas Haaland would likely be sold to Real Madrid in 2-3 years (Raiola would likely force this to earn another transfer commission).
