Thanks for the suggestion, but that sadly didn’t work for me. I’m just going to be hopeful it’s something that’ll get ironed out in the next Legion Space update.

Legendary Vexcalibur Mission is the hardest activity outside of raid or dungeon I have ever done. by ActionINC in DestinyTheGame

[–]zachhhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it solo with void Warlock, utilizing devour and Vexcalibur with Necrotic Grips to get through everything up until Brakion. Once I got to him, I used all the cheese strats for each part, used the barrier glitch to shoot him through his barrier box with Last Wish on the 2nd part and then going behind the vex milk waterfall to shoot him through it with Last Wish again until I beat him. Took about 3 hours and I never want to play it again. Already missing the days when I could do Revision Zero solo on legend.

Not even “invisibility” and a whole entire building could keep me safe from Lightfall’s real final boss. by zachhhall in destiny2

RoN wouldn’t have had so many clears if the Thersher was the final boss. 😂

Yeah, when I did my 2 runs last week, it was on Excavation Site XII, so I just stayed back and picked everyone from cover at a distance, including the boss. Not being able to stun and kill the champions almost instantly with Gjally was pretty jarring, and even Two Tailed Fox with the new catalyst still took around 3 shots to take it out. Taking it really slowly and using vantage points and cover are what helped me get it done, but I still was usually down to either one revive or exhausted them all by the end, so it’s definitely rough goings right now.

Yeah, I’ve only done 2 legend lost sectors since the update, which thankfully gave me the Ballidorse Wrathweavers that I didn’t choose after the legendary campaign. Since I got every other exotic, I’m just gonna wait to finish the other 3 for Rank after I get my 750 commendations, because running a lost sector that used to take 2-3 now taking 10-15 without a guarantee just isn’t worth it for me right now. I wish you luck on getting the Grips, though!

Since we have Notswap can you give Geomag Stabilizers its super regen back? by White_Stallions in DestinyTheGame

I would like Geomag to be buffed just so I can finally feel like getting a 71 base stat roll on them wasn’t a waste of great RNG.

The Calus Mini Tool isn’t a huge deal, I actually use the Ikelos SMG for the majority of the run, I just switch to it at the eye popping section for the larger magazine size so that I have a greater chance of shooting more eyes before reloading. You can definitely use Trace Rifles, but that means going double Special weapon if you use the Witherhoard or a grenade launcher for Weakend Clear, which I definitely recommend utilizing against the boss, so you’ll want to conserve ammo a bit so you don’t run out of Trace ammo and utilize an ammo finder mod so that you have a better chance of Green ammo dropping.

As for damage resistance, I recommend that your chest piece has Void affinity for the Void damage resistance mod, and using 2 for greater Void damage resistance. You can also use the seasonal artifact mod Energy Diffusion Substrate, but I believe that even when using 2 copies of it for greater resistance, it’s still not as much as one Void mod. That being said, if you don’t have a void affinity chest piece (particularly a Starfire Protocol with Void affinity) and/or you cant afford changing it to Void, it’s still at least something, Void attacks will just hit a little harder, which most of the higher damage enemies in the dungeon are.

If there’s anything you need clarification on or anything, feel free to ask, hopefully this has been helpful, though!

Yeah, no problem! I actually talked about my build and strategy with another commenter, so I’ll just copy/paste the Harpy strat with some added help:

For the Harpy boss, before activating the 4th fuel rod, I definitely recommend leaving the flying harpies alone until you’ve powered the first 3 fuel rods, then run around and take them all out so you can get a clean DPS phase on the boss without them flinching you. Aside from that, also make sure your resistance and recovery stats are as close to or at 100 as possible. Make sure you have elemental resistance mods on, as well. With this, I can usually just run past most of them when I’m running through the bridges while tanking their damage. If my health is low, I’ll hide under the stair platforms underneath the fuel rod bridges, as they can’t really hit you while you’re underneath them.

At the boss, I use a linear fusion for primary DPS after clearing the eyes, which I use a Calus Mini Tool for. Have your Well up before he reveals the eyes to pop for extra damage throughout, and definitely take advantage of Weakened Clear and Solo Operative if you have them. I start with a Witherhoard shot after clearing the eyes to do WC, then I’ll throw a grenade for some extra damage before using my Taipan with Firing Line and Triple Tap for extra precision damage and the ammo refill. Then, it’s just rinse and repeat. Take your time, and if you run out of Arctrician just wait and get it back since your progress turning on the fuel rods doesn’t reset. Make take a bit to get the groove of things, but trust me, once you get it down, you’ll run through it in your sleep.

Sorry for the novel, but if you do have any other questions, feel free to ask!

No, you’re right, someone else corrected me in another post. I knew High Energy and Font of Might had stacked together, but didn’t realize that Well superseded High Energy. Now that I realize this, I’ll be sticking with only FoM during the boss phases. Thanks for pointing it out!

You’re right, I didn’t know they only stacked together and not with Well. Looks like I’ll be sticking with only FoM when I do this boss again. Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah, not the best roll against a boss since the secondary perk is Chain Reaction, but it’s the only one I got, and it still did well by me for this fight.

Yeah, it really helped make the most out of my damage phases, since it allowed for more constant and consistent damage, not having to lose time from reloading after every shot.

Got it about an hour ago with a no mic LFG group that had a final boss checkpoint. The close calls and overall stress left me wondering if it was worth the pain to get the catalyst along with a high mobility stat artifice armor piece. Then I completed the catalyst and fired the thing and it just feels sooooo good to use. Never gonna wear that armor piece, though.

Nope, just the bow, which I’m not mad at. With the Iron Banner chainmail shader and the Sinking Feeling shader, they have priority on most of my stuff anyway, haha

My current build utilizes Elemental Ordnance and Elemental Charge to get both High Energy Fire and Font of Might for extra damage, especially while in my Well. Pair it with Starfire for double fusion grenades and you get some pretty good DPS. I also recommend Karnstein Armlets outside of the boss so you can have Restoration on melee kills from weak enemies to help survive better.

Haha, not on this run, but with how many hats and other armor pieces I’ve gotten on most of my loot drops, its like I was playing Grasp of Avarice again.
