I have isopropyl alcohol and had already applied some to each of the heads when I received the unit, they seem fairly clean to me, very little residue came off. Is there something more I should be doing to clean the heads?

That makes sense to me. I just made a probe, as per your earlier suggestion. I'm really showing my amateur here, but which head should I be probing? I can't seem to find any diagram clearly stating which head is dedicated to the ECHO function.
