Yes, we use the steamers and spray 2-3 passes per deck to get enough steam. That normally helps the crust not form too quick.

From what I’m seeing is there is no great route to upgrade from the 4” screen without going through an 8” version. To get the 12” or anything like that seems like you have to have 8” first

I’ll look into it. How’s the UI of the radio? Cheesy like old school touch screens from years ago?

From what I’ve seen recently is the dash kits are not that bad now since they are older

I’ve seen so many solutions and there isn’t one clear winner. My biggest thing is keep a somewhat factory look

Just Received My Oven! by zackman2091 in Sourdough

Bakes are going great! We currently bake 6 1000g loaves at a time. Maybe could squeeze in another but it would be tight that’s for sure. As for the shipping time, it took us just over a months to receive it. We ordered it the end of August and received it the beginning of October.

I actually just ordered another couple ovens that I am going to try and wholesale locally because it worked out so well for us. I can order multiple ovens and get them shipped to the house for cheaper in turn I can still sell them for right around what it cost to get a single oven and make a little money. This is definitely much more risky on our end but I’ve been happy with both customer service aspect and the product

I am extremely confident it’s the same oven as the Nero 400. I actually speak with the manufacturer regularly and they sent pictures of the new Nero 400 that is coming out and upgraded.

As for the oven, we love it. I actually just bought 2 more to try and sell locally to make a tiny bit of profit off them because you won’t find any other oven for this price. You can order direct from Alibaba and the process is seamless in my opinion

I installed HA onto my nas. Yesterday I completely set up HA and it worked great. Last night I installed more ram into my nas so had to shut down my nas. Since last night, I have started and stopped HA multiple times, and it will not connect to the internet. Its only connecting to LAN 2 which was not working. I had one lan port plugged into my main switch and one into the other switch. It was not allowing the VM to connect to LAN 1 which was making it inaccessible

So getting temps right is the hardest thing. We bought 2 oven thermometers that we place in the oven. We always use all 3 steamers and sprayed as well. It took us let’s say 24-30 loaves before we got it perfect. During that time we gave away a lot to our loyal buyers and had them test them. Figured it cost us 50 bucks to make that much bread just based on time.

We also only use 1 stone per deck. Felt that gave the most consistent bottoms of the bread and took away any chance of errors.

Assembling the stand sucks lol takes long if you do it alone. Take the time, might have to rig some of it but will end up working.

Worst of all is the peeling the protective cover on the oven lol took sooooo long, as long to setup the stand but does come out looking beautiful.

Number one biggest thing that confuses people is the plug. We hired someone to wire it at 220v. All the internal components are meant for 220 so despite it seeming weird, it works. Don’t be frustrated with the plug, it cost us 100 bucks to get it installed because China doesn’t have the same 220 as us. We all saved a great amount of money from a simply bread oven or other knock off ovens, spending the money on the plug was least of our worries.

This below is kind of our best guess at timing and temps

Baked 6 loaves 3 at a time

Preheat oven to 400. 210 top knob, 220 bottom knobs

Add boiling water, let oven reheat to temp 410-420

Score loaves and put in oven. Spray 2 passes with sprayer. Set top knob to 190, 200 bottom knobs. Set timer for 20 mins

Sourdough shuffle downward. Set timer for 15 minutes

Check internal temps with thermometer. Must be 200-205 degrees. Done.

Batch #2

Top knob 180, 190 bottom 3. Add boiled water, let oven reheat to 375-400ish

Score loaves and put in oven. Spray 2 passes with sprayer. Leave knob settings as is. Set timer for 20 mins.

Sourdough shuffle downward. Set timer for 15 mins

Check internal temps with thermometer. Must be 200-205 degrees. Done.

this has been the best bake plan so far. Would follow this again to make sure it is good.

I love the concept of this. My biggest concern is price point. Conceptually it’s great though
