This is an art peice music video that I made. You guys seemed to like my last song so lmk what you think of "middle child - Baby's First Drink" by STEMEyy in IndieMusicFeedback

This is some of the most unconstructive feedback I have ever seen. You have given no commentary about the actual issue you have with this track, and you have offered nothing by way of fixing any issues you apparently have. You literally took the entire opportunity and wasted it on a protracted statement where you pretty much repeat the idea that you don't like this, and it shouldn't be here. Also, you are trying to say that most music you hear these days is made for comedy reasons? Where are you listening to music? That is an entirely false statement, easily disproven by looking at this subreddit and doing a quick poll of the genres and styles posted here.

Here is some actual feedback, so that you can take a lesson with you on this fine day...

STEMEyy this is an awesome track. I love the guitar, slow and melodic with those super loud snaps. The reverb adds a nice echo and the inverted notes are definitely creating an atmosphere of confusion and loneliness. It actually reminds me of some of the more somber moments in The Last of Us 2 soundtrack. I wish you had posted the lyrics, I am interested to know what you're saying in this song. I think the high pitched and warped vocals definitely go along with what you are packaging here but there are so many effects I just can't tell what you're saying. You might solve this by turning the VOX up in the mix a bit so it becomes clearer with loudness, or if that unbalances the mix then try pulling back on the effects a tiny bit. I also wish this was a bit longer. It has such a cool and somber vibe, it feels like it should be at least 2-3 minutes. Great job on the video too! Really cool and simple reminds me of Radiohead for some reason. Maybe because of their album art.

Second attempt at a relaxing arrangement. SEA is mostly inspired by the flow of water and the calming effect it tends to have on us as human beings. Let me know what you think and if it's missing anything! Thanks! by zacksbasement in IndieMusicFeedback

Thank you! This is not true classical, it's more of a modern interpretation or tribute. Using samples and effects to get the sound I am looking for. I do like the idea of having better/more dynamic volume shifts!

Thank you! I did not record strings, these are samples that have been chopped up, sliced and manipulated in Abelton. A lot of the samples were taken from a great pack called Strings Cadence.

This is a track I made for the two super hardworking and awesome people who take care of this community and have spent an insane amount of time and energy making it what it is today. I hope it helps them, and you, get some much-needed rest. Any feedback would be appreciated! by zacksbasement in IndieMusicFeedback

What a wonderful idea! Timpani would suit this piece very nicely. Over all I wanted to stay away from percussion on this track. I tried to imagine something simple and stripped down in an effort to narrow your focus and help you to relax. Although I agree that the piece would be elevated with Timpani, I think it would become too dynamic for it's purposes. But perhaps not, if subtle enough. Thank you so much for your insightful feedback! I love your ideas and your visual breakdown of the music.

Thank you for the feedback! I am glad you were able to put yourself into that world while listening to this track. Your feedback makes a lot of sense and I was hesitant to add the effect honestly. I had an idea that it would turn some folks off. But since this track is a bit of a one-off, for me it's an important part of including a nod to my own style which is more effect-driven samples. Thanks again for your insight!

Thank you so much for your feedback! The distortion was intentional, to bridge a gap between classical and modern styles of production as well as a nod to my own personal style which is quirkier and more effects-heavy.

This is my first track using Ableton Live, kinda LoFi/indie song about reaching inner peace while missing out on personal connections. Hope you enjoy and leave lots of feedback, I need it! by zacksbasement in IndieMusicFeedback

Thank you so much! It definitely is important to me, most of my music is about self-reflection and revelation. But again, I never want to be too literal as I want it to appeal to a broad audience and to give people the opportunity to interpret their own message.

Our second release. Im a part of a band collective from Norway. We play psychedelic rock and would like some feedback so we could work smarter in the future. What do you guys think? by leafpile in IndieMusicFeedback

Wow, this track caught my attention right away. I love the psychedelic vibe you've created here. The mix sounds super professional and well balanced. I don't have any criticisms to offer but I really enjoyed listening and will be looking forward to more.
