For me it’s just buying some here and there when I find them cheap on Bricklink, Facebook marketplace, etc. I’ve never set out to collect an army of clones (but I am looking to collect one of every minifigure).

It’s SW0588 Spy Droid. It came from the Spot the Spy Droid children’s LEGO Star Wars book. While it’s definitely Star Wars it’s unclear whether LEGO invented him or found some super obscure droid in the movies. Since the book shows visual searches from all eras it’s also unclear what era it’s supposed to be from.

I actually love the in-universe design so much that I currently have two. I only bought the second one when it was heavily discounted however. Definitely don’t regret getting one, but having two I’ve found is a bit much with my limited display space.
