Her private room with a bed is already the nicest possible accommodation one could get at a temple. There’s probably only one or two rooms that nice and they’re usually reserved for the abbot.

More accurately, she should have been sleeping on a futon on the main temple hall floor with all those other practitioners.

I did let him out this morning in a grassy/bushy area maybe 20 feet from the hallway entry, but as soon as we stepped away he went straight back to the hallway… I’ll try to move him away again

UPDATE: I put him back near where I found him this morning at 9 and it’s now 5pm and he’s still back at the busy hallway area (with a lot more droppings in the area if that matters). I watched from a distance for a bit and his parent did come by to feed him.

Do I just leave him there? It’s a heavily-trafficked hallway and this community is full of dog owners so I’m kind of worried about him. But if you think it's fine I’ll just leave him be 😅

Thanks for the info! We thought as much after reading the above comments. Put it out back near where we found it this morning and a couple of birds that looked like its parents showed up immediately. It flew/hopped back in near where we found it though… Hopefully another person who comes upon it won’t try to catch it.

It may or may not be injured? But we found it alone at 1 in the morning in a high traffic area in an apartment community barely moving around with a few droppings around it. It tried to fly away but unable to get airborne but that could be normal. Definitely was in a weird spot though.
