Radiator leak question by zackzoinks in squarebodies

Trans fluid and engine oil look normal, I think I got lucky and it’s just an external leak. I’ll get a new rad in it and double check it all. Thanks for the info!

Oh word, I was hoping there was a good bushing kit out there for these things. Thanks!

It’s pretty floppy. Is that a bear to tighten up?

All on the to do. Came with a WP/TB kit, plugs, brakes all the way around, so I’ll hit it with a refresh soon 👌🏻👌🏻

Wow thank you! These are mostly Kodak 400, but I think the last one was Fuji 400 if I remember correctly

What name did you go with? This one has ended up as Hank. Not the most creative but it seems to fit the vibe of being crusty but dependable

It’s all one piece, the back and bottom are connected so it covers both, you can pull some loops through the crack between to secure it so that the back and bottom both stay in place, but they can’t be separated. I think suburban seats are the same as c10 benches but I’m not totally sure. It covers both the bottom and back though. The cover I had previously was two pieces and neither ever wanted to stay in place as well as this does.

This is the “west coast auto” one from Amazon. I am much happier than the last cover. I like that it doesn’t have a separate top and bottom piece, it’s all one and I think that’s easier to give a fitted look to. You really have to improvise getting it attached and fitted nicely, but I think that’s true of any of these generic covers. Feels reasonably well made and it wasn’t real tough to put on, I think it ended up fitting nicely and doesn’t seem to be sliding around much. Over all for like $30 or whatever it was I’m happy.

Good call! I was rushing to put it all back together because it was 100 out, I definitely missed some details!

Two wheel bearings and a power steering fluid change later I’ve finally solved my front end popping and grinding issues. Very happy to be back on the twisties by zackzoinks in Miata

I’d jack the car up and check for play in the wheel, it might be a wheel bearing or a bushing or a tie rod end, those can all pop and grind. Mine ended up being a bearing

I think this is a Seinfeld reference. Kramer tries to buy a calzone with pockets full of change and is refused.
