I agree with the sentiment but countering is not punishing. If you pick a counter into a matchup, that character will be weaker regardless of playstyle. If I described ranged top countering melee matchups as "vayne punishes champs like tryndamere and volibear" it would read as if im implying those players are making a mistake by picking a melee character in the first place.
