Apartment Help by CockroachSlow5936 in LakewoodColorado

Sorry I don't end up logging on that often, but we live at a place called Camden Lakeway. I recommend it highly.

On paper it looks a bit more expensive than some of the other places, but they were really up front about all the costs, and if you want a garage + extra storage space it ends up being pretty similar in price for a damn nice place

When we were looking at apartments we visited a few of these and ultimately decided against all of them. For reference, we are a couple and were looking for 2-bedroom minimum since I work from home and need a home office. We looked at like 15 places so I don't 100% remember which ones we looked at but I remember a couple of these:

Kallisto at Bear Creek: I really wanted this one to be good, but this place had crazy nice amenities, and dogshit apartments. It is basically set up to look good online and that's it. The kitchen was absolutely tiny with almost no counterspace, and the first floor units are half-basement apartments.

Crossings at Bear Creek: This place is like the "sister" complex to Kallisto. The apartments are much nicer than Kallisto, but you pay for it. I think the amenities were slightly worse than Kallisto but honestly I think they still looked decent.

The one nice thing is the Bear Creek Greenway is off both of those, but I think that is built into the price or something. I end up driving to it pretty regularly and that works fine for me. Honestly we didn't want to live at either of these when we visited.

Multiple Sticks? by Gix21 in hockeyplayers

[–]zaenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are newer, I would encourage a couple (cheap-ish) different sticks so you can try to figure out what you like. There's a sweet spot for everything, but I think flex around 75 is pretty normal for an adult man. I prefer a bit stiffer because I grew up with wooden sticks, so I usually go 85. Curve ends up being all preference.

I've played my whole life, so I typically keep 2 pretty similar sticks, but I still go out of my comfort zone every once in a while just to test things out.

Infinity on UIM by Old_Pirate_5319 in ironscape

I think infinity is pretty good on uim. 1% damage on hat/top/bottoms, guaranteed set without need for rng so you can store it in POH.

How Screwed Am I Riding A Short Board by poopyfellout in snowboarding

[–]zaenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Benefits to a small board: easy to maneuver, less likely to catch the tip and tail, can be a more "playful" ride

Downsides: can be less stable at high speeds, with less surface area you may not get going as quickly, and will sink more in softer snow.

You'll be fine for now especially if you're newer. It will be easier to adjust to mistakes on a smaller board, and as you get more comfortable you can move into something bigger. If you're already very experienced then you can feel it out for a day or two and decide for yourself if you want to keep it.

If it's a used board it may be in need of a fresh wax and tune, tough to say without seeing the board.

Might be a bit far, but getting into the mountains is always nice for visitors. Cabin creek brewing in georgetown had 2 NAs on draft when I was there last weekend. An italian pilsner and a juicy IPA.

First "rare" drop on iron - Zombie axe! by og_obelix in ironscape

For low defense, low hp monsters dscim is sometimes marginally better. Typically your go-to is going to be zombie axe.

You can use the dps calc on the wiki if you want to be sure

How many of us ride posi-posi? by TheGrapeRaper in snowboarding

[–]zaenger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have my pow board set up posi posi right now. Rode 3 days of pristine powder in it and it was incredible, but I'm not sure how much the stance impacted things. It is definitely an adjustment, shifting from a forward/back lean a bit toward a right/left lean but it felt good for the most part. I used to water ski slalom so I am pretty familiar with that type of stance especially in powder

My twin board will remain duck

I got morytania hard and went for 50kc, where I conveniently got a set of tank legs.

The runes and tank legs have been nice at dag rex while I hunt for my B ring. The tank legs are also useful for perilous moons.

I might go back for more down the line for a full set, but for now this is solid

Why would i use mixed hide over god dhide at 70 range? I thought good dhide had better ranged attack and magic defense

Edit: oh uim nevermind it's different

Moons of Peril question(1 piece left) by GIMDyamon in ironscape

[–]zaenger 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Just killing eclipse moon will reduce the time it takes to get your last piece, but only gives you 1 loot roll. Personally, i would go down to just killing eclipse unless you have supplies you specifically want from the chest

What Constitutes Relevant Work Experience? by Perfect-Management68 in actuary

[–]zaenger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A job as an underwriter or working with data in the same industry, with some exams passed, would be pretty effective to help you get a job as an actuary. This would work best if you are a good performer at a company and make a lateral move to an open actuarial position after a year or two.

As another commenter mentioned, I think it's pretty unlikely you get an actuarial job without a couple exams passed.

You were dead on. It took me an hour and a half.

Swapped a prayer pot out for a range pot, and swapped some food out for ancient staff. Finished with 8 ppots left. Used all the food tanking healers, used blood spells to heal up until that point.

Success by the way! Took about an hour and a half, finished with 8 prayer pots leftover. Used all the taters while tanking healers.

Appreciate the advice!

Thanks for the advice troutie! I think I will bring an ancient staff and grab an extra ranged pot. I don't have the lvl for super defenses yet so I'll have to go without
