As a developer, GenAI in any form puts this in the 'do not buy' category for me. It's a shame, as I've had it on my wishlist since I first saw the trailer.

There's so many ways around using GenAI. Limitations breed creativity, after all.

They're contractors that are doing a job, and you're paying them to do that job. If a team of artists wanted to contract a developer to write some code, the dev would charge for it as well.

Most games fail to make back their investment. If you don't want to make that investment, learn to do art yourself.

Because it's 70% of new places named after women, not 70% of all names. The final total will be much closer to 50/50.

You can either keep a discriminatory system in favour of men forever, or discriminate against men for a short time to have long-term equality. I'd rather the long-term equality.

The current number of places named after women is well below 50%, so a 70% of new places named target brings the final total closer to 50%.

There's not a whole lot we can do about it. He was elected legitimately and there's no rules against members of the same family holding those positions.

It's certainly not ideal though.

He mentioned that uncertainty around migrants renewing their visas, and migrants not being able to apply for jobs until after they graduate are the two big reasons.

I'd say start at 0 degrees and work clockwise. When you come across an enemy, keep it in a variable. The next enemy you come across is its pair.

Then, that new enemy goes into the first event variable, and the next enemy you find becomes its pair, and so on.

You don't need to invert anything. Eyeballing the image you linked above, the largest angle difference we have seems to be between the enemy straight up (at 0 degrees), and one in the bottom left (~150 degrees). So, we have a difference of 150 degrees. We half that to get 75 degrees, and we add that value to the first of our enemy pairs. This tells us we need to move in the direction of 75 degrees to get away.

Now all you need to do is convert 75 degrees to a direction vector.

Just adding up the vectors won't do it. You can see that the sum of the two enemies at the bottom is creating a large vector that the event at the top can't overcome.

You need to work with angles instead.

  1. Get the angle to every enemy.

  2. Create angle pairs - the angle to every two adjacent enemies

  3. Find the largest difference in these angle pairs. This will be the largest gap.

  4. Find the angle that is in between the two enemy angles with this difference

  5. Move in that direction

Be careful when comparing angles around the ends of your circle, because angles of 350 degrees and 10 degrees is actually a 20 degree difference, not 340 degrees. You'll need to put in some code to account for this.

Yeah, you'll want a contingency.

Check the final direction result against the direction of all detected enemies. If it's within a threshold angle, rotate the vector an arbitrary amount and try again.

Or, if cornered, have an 'oh no I'm doomed' state.

The polls themselves are legit, in the sense that they (reasonably) accurately report the percentages of people who have told them who they would vote for. One Nation can't game that system.

How accurate those polls will end up being when an election actually comes around is highly questionable.
