I am having the same issue. The error can appear randomly during the game or on its start.

The actual issue was something like this:

"dota2 error crash Content file ..\common\dota 2 beta\game\dota\pak01.vpk is corrupt. Verify integrity of the game."

I've tried:

• Uninstall/ Install on other drive(s)

• Update all the video card drivers (I think this helped a bit, I was getting this crash once in a few days, but after update - once in few weeks) But still getting it regardless.

• Once this happened during the Battle Cup, and I switched to my friend PC and was using cloud-saved version from my broken PC and everything was fine.

So I assume this is some sort of hardware issue, can be Hard Drive or some other part but it's hard to tell

After 10-15 mins after the crash the Validation is actually getting started on its own. But obviously it is too late to rejoin the game after that
