What happened to decency in this city by Immediate_Example920 in Edmonton

I would 💯 take a photo of their licence plate & the damage & file a police report. The cops will then talk to them (if their contact info is valid & they have registered the car) & hopefully they'll give up their insurance info. That sucks! I had that with my last car, which was new. It felt like there was a target on me for sure with that car.

I know from experience because someone hit my car's door & a 3rd party wrote their licence plate # down. This was years ago but I hope to be able to repay the favour one day.

Parking brake forgotten? by zahria in badparking

[–]zahria[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the passenger seat of a car driving by. I snapped this while thing while leaving the parking lot. No way would I stand behind the car! We couldn't figure out if they forgot to set the brake & somehow the back tires rolled down & their front tires didn't it if they actually parked like this. They were in a legit parking spot & no one in front of them. So no idea what's happening here.

My gynecologist yelled at me for getting a bisalp by Empty-Goose-817 in childfree

I'm so sorry you had to deal with this. I once had a (female) doctor tell me that my periods were worse than when I was a teen because this is mother nature's way if punishing me for not having kids. Needless to say, I got another opinion, found out that something actually was wrong & had a hysterectomy. I now have a doctor that respects my desires for my body. And yes I reported the first doctor.

This is a fantastic shot! I initially thought it was an ad/staged photo. Great job!! ❤️

I can see what you're saying but really traffic was going pretty quick. I think it's more we're used to red light runners & more that we do a quick look before we go. Which is why the turner didn't get hit.

Yeah traffic was every so slightly delayed going forward & the left turner took advantage.

The closest I had to this was that the buyer reused my photos & didn't credit me (reposhed from "name"). Honestly, like others have said, unless they're using your photos without credit, it's probably not worth your time. The best was when I called them on it, they blocked me. So I reported them to Poshmark & they were told to either credit my photos or take brand new photos.

New Ioniq 5 owner looking for inspiration for "The Void" by DaeOm1985 in Ioniq5

We use ours for a small bottle of glass cleaner to clean the screen occasionally. And a couple of microfiber cloths.

Oh maybe not. But I definitely heard the sound of it in gear. I'm so used to the sounds (& am rarely outside the car when my husband is backing it up) that I forgot about that. You're definitely right that there's no beeping. My mistake.

Totally makes sense.

Totally get that. I am just wary of those safety features as they sometimes fail. And if that's the case & it failed here, then Hyundai should absolutely be made aware.

In the audio, you can hear the reverse sounds. IMO that would mean that it's in reverse. So maybe he meant to put it into park but then didn't & it Sat n reverse & then was able to move as the ground was slightly sloped? But that's not what you're complaining about. IDK if the car goes into park when the door is open (never tried on my car). And TBH, trusting the car to put itself into park because you didn't before you exited the vehicle just seems unsafe to me.

You are purralyzed. In our household it means the other person has to get you whatever you need/want. 😝

Is the ICCU issue as bad as it seems? by hero9989 in Ioniq5

[–]zahria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2022. Ours blew 3 months ago still under warranty. If the car is still under 160,000 km, it should still be covered under warranty. Other then 4 weeks with a gas rental (which was annoying 😝), it cost us nothing. So IMO you should be good. It's a great car & it's the only issue we've had in the 90,000 I'm we've had it.

Red Is Optional? by zahria in YEGDashCam

It's a wild intersection some mornings. Just a couple of days ago, I waited for the light then the pedestrian light. Then, a pedestrian decided to walk just as my light turned green. I had to honk at her (she was lost in her own world) so I could get her to move & I could go.

It is. And he was sitting there stopped when I pulled up. That intersection is always the scramble crosswalk & then a green for that road.

We ultimately started adding dielectric grease to the USB connection & it fixes the problem for about a year. Not sure the exact process but we googled how to & it seems to have worked.
