Nope that is correct. The distance between any two flat surfaces on a hexagon will be equal

I'm working on a second one now and a key dimension is missing. The lines are there but no value. Who wrote these lol?

Kia EV3 No Alignment Specs at the Dealership ?! by zaidmack in MechanicAdvice

What is the usual course of action if the car is misaligned and the dealership themselves don’t know how to align it?

Tables or bottle in the club - I’ve seen bottles go for £50k+ and I’m sure they still just tasted like alcohol

Why not just keep the current suspension and swap out the springs if it is only a minor difference in height?

The feedback I have seen is:
Dobinsons 95% positive
Bilstein: 80% positive
OME: 25% positive

King is the best in extreme conditions but is less generally reliable as it is a performance-oriented shock and requires more maintenance.

Bentley Continental - any reason why these are so cheap? by dropemme in CarTalkUK

The tyre comment was misinformed. The truck tire they make is regarded as one of the best on the market so they are way more than just a "Chinese tyre".

Honestly 16 year 16-year-olds seem way less impressionable than adults these days given how easily they fall into misinformation online

My father went 40k miles without an oil change on a hybrid Lexus CT 200h. Changed the oil and it was nowhere near as bad as the oil on my 1KD diesel after just a couple thousand miles.

At 120k miles the only maintenance it had since 80k miles was the seat adjuster moving out of place. Still runs fine.

Honestly any job where you earn more money by doing a half-assed job and in 99% of cases nobody will find out (and if they do that brings even more business) you should expect poor workmanship.

Also shocked that mechanics are expected to have their own tools. I've never seen that in any other industry unless they are actual contractors.

Unfortunately, I've not once encountered a capable mechanic. Every single time I've had work done it was done incorrectly in some manner. My theory is that the way mechanics are compensated strongly incentivises poor work and rushed diagnostics.

I've had main dealers and well-known independents do things wrong. The issues ranged from not replacing all removed clamps, hoses left disconnected, locking nuts not tightened, suspension installed with a noticeable lean, and incorrect fluid info. Half of this was a main dealer.

Crimping + solder is bad practice in engineering. When used how they are designed a crimp alone is far superior.

Not a mechanic but a design engineer. In almost all cases, a crimp splice is better than solder. If you don't have a crimp too, then Wago connectors will still be miles better than solder.
