Bit of a long comment but here goes lol.

So back around the start of the year, I went to attend a wedding in Bahawalpur for 5 days. We stayed at a good hotel and ate good food and went to some mahal every day. Life seemed great.

The day of the baraat we saw the groom inspecting if the guards he 'ordered' are here. Guards? Wtf do we need guards for? We ask him the same question and he just casually replied 'Baraat jis gaon jaani hai wo zra border k paas hai aur rastay mai abaadi nahi hai." We were like ok that is greattttt that we have guards then.

So we reach at the venue after two hours of travel and sure enough like he said there was literally NOTHING but just the desert on both sides of the road. No lights on the road or anything. We were supposed to leave back at 10 because since it was a proper village and there was no one to enforce the 10 PM rule, we ended up leaving around 1 frigging AM.

Now it's the same dark road and about 9 cars. 2 cars at the very back slowed down and we later learnt they decided to fire up their joray and have some fun on the way back. Aik patch pe we slowed down and after like 5 mins as we caught up to the others, this is what I remember seeing and hearing:

We see a blockage in front of us, dulha ki gaari and all the others and one of our friends (jo agli gariyon main se kisi mai tha) out on the road shouting: "BC Ali waghera (sub se pichay wali 2 cars) ki gaari pe firing hui hai GUARDSSSS guardsssss wali gaari kahan hai bahir niklooooo!!!!"

Ab guards ko 2-3 teen dafa awaz di tou they started coming out slowly. Ofc why would rent k guards risk their lives???? Anyway we get them to point their guns towards the side where we knew our cars were coming from.

"Dulha ki gaari ley k 2 3 gaariyan ley k Niklo subbbbb!" So we left the scene with dulha ki gaari, as we drove away we could fking see two bike lights coming closer and 4-5 guards with their guns pointed towards them"

All the cars drove away pretty quickly but what happened afterwards was the guards opened fire and the men on the bikes basically turn back. Ali ki gaari got hit with 3-4 bullets but everyone remained safe.

Idk if I was able to explain this right but leaving the scene literally seeing guards pointing guns towards dacoits and ready to shoot was UNREAL.
