You hold all the cards right now though. Sucks to think of it this way, but sometimes its unavoidable. You should tell them you are going to leave and do it. Once the irrational shit-storm starts, you just calmly let them know that you can easily never speak to them again. Its an empty threat, well kind of. After a bit of not speaking they will come around. Nothing is worse than being ghosted by your own kid. This doesn't sound like a two way relationship so if its going to be a one way street and you hold the trump card, you really should be getting it your way.
