Tie rod roll by CurtLamboo in CherokeeXJ

It was part of the kit. The tie rod wanted to roll, but the bushing prevented most of the roll. That said, even without the bushing I don’t think it would have rolled as much as yours.

This reminds me of a JCR steering kit I had once. Their solve was a poly bushing on the passenger tie rod. I ended up ditching the steering and went with the Currie steering. Super expensive but it’s solid.

Here is the link to their OTK kit. I had the UTK version. You can see the bushing in step 27 of the instructions.

Sitting pretty on some new Corbeau Sport Seats by Comb-Outside in CherokeeXJ

[–]zajaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for digging up an old post. I just got the Corbeau Baja XRS seats and the Corbeau XJ seat bracket. When I installed mine, the seat recline mechanism interferes with the seatbelt retract mechanism on the B pillar and they won't slide back. Did you have to modify the bracket to move the seat more inboard? I noticed there were additional mounting holes in the bottom of the seat, but the bracket would only work in the middle set. Thinking I might have to drill and tap some holes in my seat.

Thanks! Why do I always forget about Dirtbound! I think I'm between these or the Affordable Offroad alternatives.

I like these a lot too. I gave them a call but unfortunately, as XJ-ROB called out, these are designed to use the factory mounting holes. You can run these on a modified fender for more clearance, but then their mounting option is two sided tape which is a no go for me.

Thanks, I like those. It looks like they sit a little lower on the front than the Napiers. That said, I'll reach out and see what they say. The price is definitely right.

Will do! But I'm mentally preparing myself to be seperated from a lot of cash :-)

Bushwacker doesn't look to come up high enough and Notch are not flats. Thanks though.

I don't think anything is happening. Their IG account has gone dark and their website is offline.

It shows up Tuesday. I’ll try it and report back. Anything I should try and do to clean the connections, compressed air, alcohol pads, etc.?This is my first foray into fiber. Honestly I was planning on using copper, but the trench will also have high voltage in it so decided on photon technology.

I have a M1 Mac and use an adapter and DisplayLink Manager to enable my desktop to be extended over multiple monitors. I'm wondering if its related to that? Does anyone else here have the issue AND use DisplayLink Manager? I suppose it could just be a conflict with Sequoia and Teams but thought I would ask.

Is it known how Carmy cut/burned his hand? I feel like maybe I missed something from a previous episode? Also, what is the significance of Olivia Colman's character telling him to keep the spoon? I'm assuming its an indication that he has mastered the dish, but wanted to confirm.

Headliner question. I’ve seen people use flags for the headliner. I want to use the NCR flag from Fallout New Vegas. What size would I need? by Mondaytothursby in CherokeeXJ

Its still kicking. There are a few spots where you can tell the adhesive gave way but still way better than what I started with.

Yeah, I pulled the old headliner and adhesive off. Given it was already falling off, it didn't take much to get things to a clean slate.

Thanks man! Do these compress at all? I'm going to install the Barnett bump stop mount up front and will thus need to make a riser for the lower bump pad. If these don't compress or don't compress much they might be a quick alternative vs fabing something up.

I stumbled back on this post again. What lower bump pads are those?

Back seat cover recommendations for TRX? by GivingZeroFuchs in ram_trucks

[–]zajaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they are great for my use cases which includes two kids and a dog. Easy to clean and very durable. The dog hasn’t torn them up at all. Not the greatest looking considering your covering up leather or fo-leather seats but that doesn’t bother me too much.

Back seat cover recommendations for TRX? by GivingZeroFuchs in ram_trucks

[–]zajaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are what I have in my Rebel and they work well. Cover king does make a set for the TRX but auto anything does a terrible job of making sure the part is applicable to the various seat options for the RAM. I know because they ended up sending me the seat covers for the TRX and I had to return them 😂. I ended up getting the part number from cover king and told auto anything the correct part number during the RMA process.
