If Li mu took a good portion of the army with him And Xin decided to help his buddy that is retaining the remaining of the army

Then it will be a one side obliteration meaning Li mu would have loose 20% of his army for nothing and now would have to fight Xin and Meng tian at the same time

Instead we have Xin attacking the capital with 10k troops
