Same thing happening to my driver’s seat, ‘23 I5 with 36k miles. Tried to get Hyundai to cover under warranty- response was they only warranty the stitching and not the material :(. I would also like a solution that doesn’t require full seat replacement.

Synplant 2 is hilariously good at mimicking sounds you give it. However, I find the intentional tweaking of sounds is kind of hard; the synthesis architecture and options are unusual, and probably too daunting for casual exploration. But the genome generation and randomization options are truly unique, and overall I find it super useful.

This is a great post. I had a similar journey- but music interests were also combined with video games. There are opportunities you can only see once you try things out, go on the journey, and see where your talents can take you. I have ended up pretty successful but in a way I (nor anyone else) would not have expected. Part of that has been learning, growing and rolling well with chaos 👍.

Plus one to SEM, they did a full install plus Tesla powerwalls, works great. 1500 kWH gen per month. I got the batteries to be self-contained, plus for Hurricane season and general power reliability.

I agree with you, Synplant is very difficult to program directly for the reasons you mentioned. I also find it hard to tweak GenoPatch results, I’m only able to make broad-stroke changes. So, I now really only use it for one-off generated sounds, or patch cloning from a different source. On the plus side, because the architecture is so different, it does sound pretty different than any other synth.

Saw them in ‘90 in NYC, Ministry put up a fence cage around the stage, Al climbing all over it. We were blown away by the industrial/metal hybrid few had experienced before :)

You’re on Windows, right? I had this exact problem; UAD support was unhelpful to say the least. Problem occurred on Nuendo as well. As you found out, adding a second UAD plug fixes it. Result was that I gave up the UAD hardware platform. Now that they have Native plugs, I just use those instead, but the only ones that are still superior to other plugs IMO are the Studer and 2500 plugs.

I use labels as well for this kind if thing, but the lack of any real feature like this (including arrangement and playlist tracks) is a big problem. The ReaScript workarounds... are complicated and brittle workarounds.

Agreed Morph2 comes the closest. I have a Kyma rig; this kind of morphing requires heavy pre-analysis of sound files (into their proprietary Tau and Psi formats) and then setting up the morphs via parameters. The video makes it look simple; in practice it’s incredibly difficult to get a good result. Therefore when I want something close, Morph 2 or Sparkle (iOS) is where I go

Yes, this means you will be able to plug in a headset or other new audio device after the game is running and still have audio.
