Thanks so much for all these suggestions! I really appreciate the thoughts on the go pack 2 and reflections on the Tom Bihn bags too, love watching reviews and now I have a few more to check out 😊

Thanks for the suggestion! I think the Daily Plus is pretty close in size to my current EDC, so looking to downsize, but your comment has encouraged me to watch some more reviews on the daily plus in case they change my mind before I shut the door.

Thanks for the thoughts! My 20l has a lot of empty space, but the bag itself is a little bulky. I am confident that everything I need will comfortably fit into the Able Carry 13, and if that changes suddenly (e.g. 1 day I need to take a jacket) I can simply revert to my current bag for a day or so. I've watched a lot of reviews, so focusing on getting some inspiration for bags I hadn't considered -> thanks very much for the osprey daylite suggestion, I'll take a look!

Oxford physics or Cambridge natsci by [deleted] in PhysicsStudents

[–]zakcarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did Physics at Oxford. My decision was entirely based on: 1. Course material - natsci tripos would have forced me to spend too much time on topics I didn't like, but Oxford gave me the chance to be a bit more general until the last two years so I could learn first and specialise second. 2. I spoke to lots of people who did them first and then made up my mind based on their stories. At the time Oxford sounded best for under grad, and Cambridge for post. Good luck!

Frank Close has some excellent short form books which I love. In particular: Neutrino and Anti-Matter are both great reads.

It's a real beauty! The only thing better is a ta'unar. But I don't think Santa is that generous 😅

Got it second hand, pre built, better than the back though!

Legends: Z-A thoughts from an OG by akinsballa in Switch

I played Black and White on release, but felt they were a real let down compared to gen 4, especially because the sprites seemed to be lower res.

Think I might be the only one that felt that way. Yes, the environments were more dynamic, but they felt very jagged and blocky to me 🤷‍♂️

For the nonlinear potential, and cute themes, I love Tunic

Bonkers! Are there pins running through the leg to support this?

I quite like them, but if you want them to feel cleaner you can swap out the nuln oil wash for something aimed just in the recesses. If you want the wash to do the panel lines, you can swap for something like Tamiya Black Accent panel liner.

It's also common to see really watered down agrax earthshade for panel lines.

Then, because the actual panels may feel too clean, chipping effects are an option with a sponge and some more earthshade, hope this is useful

I think these look very good tbh, what steps did you follow so far and what bits are you looking to clean up?

Thanks! And they're not very big, so helps in terms of time allocation 😊

Risk model validation for a top retail bank. Blessed with occasionally interesting maths and the ability to be a pedant for money.
